Marketplace has been down for days , is it just me?

work for me. Make sure ‘Online Data’ is turned on in settings

Please ensure you have the Online Functionality setting turned on (Options → Data → Online Functionality → ON). If you have confirmed this setting is enabled and the Marketplace is still inaccessible, please reply here and let me know.

Noticed this too, so thank you for the heads up and if successful, I will celebrate with a shiny new SF50 Vision.

Since SU11 the sim may permanently turn off online data when an outage is detected. It can happen with any of the online sources.

I’m not sure if it’s a bug or feature. But it’s annoying either way and most people have no idea what’s wrong.

Unintended feature. lol

It’s always been like that. When the sim loses connection, it can revert back to ‘offline mode’. You’ll be notified about this with a small pop up window (bottom right of the screen I believe) that doesn’t stay on screen too long, so it can be easy to miss.
When that happens you need to re-enable the online functionalities under general options → data.

This is not the same as the annoying big connection lost / reconnected popups you get in the middle of your screen that lock out your controls for a bit. I think those are for when the sim can’t connect to those online services it needs without losing internet connectivity.

For some reason I never saw it happen until SU11.

But it should not even have to be a thing. Why does a server side outage cause all these weird flight control blocking dialogs, and permanent data settings changes?

It’s just all so very wrong.

The data on thing worked a treat and I now have the Vision SF50. Wont get time to fly it until after Christmas though. Have a good Xmas folks.
