Marketplace Situation .... from a Dev View

I raised a ticket with MS Support about my 2 year Partnership Submission Saga, and to their credit they got back to me within literally 11 minutes!

So that was impressive.

I’ll just quote some key bits from the very responsive conversation, so kudo’s to their support team.

“We continue to catch up on our Marketplace content backlog while balancing available team capacity and are currently not approving many new partners at this point.”

“We are not able to give any specifics on the process of accepting new partners to marketplace.
On the previous Q&A, Jorg said the following:
Our priority is to first push all updates for the current products in the marketplace, priority 1 is for airplanes, next comes airports and after that, the rest. The same goes for new developers.”

My final response was pointing out that my experience with the black hole of the MSFS partnership application process was 180 degrees to my experiences as a published developer on Microsoft appstore, Google Play, and Apple Appstores.

I also suggested:

“I suggest you forward this recent long forum post to the Marketplace product/project managers, because it’s not working for users or developers as it is.

Final response was postive, as much as they can do being as they are only generalised support:

We have forwarded your message to Microsoft Marketplace team.

So, we’ll see…I guess!

I would suggest any other developers also do the same.
The support team can only take action on action.
