So I purchased the PMDG 737-600 from the Marketplace after downloading it I found that it did not function with the FS2Crew addon, whereas if purchased from the PMDG Simulation store it is compatible. I later found this warning on the FS2Crew webpage.
DUE TO ENCRYPTION ISSUES WITH THE MSFS MARKETPLACE, THIS PRODUCT DOES “NOT” SUPPORT THE MSFS MARKETPLACE VERSION OF THE PMDG 737.
I did not see any indication that the Marketplace PMDG 737 products were different than those from the PMDG Store. Now I have to purchase a second version (which should have been the same) from PMDG and I’m out $40.00.

Indeed, that’s how the Marketplace works and is not a limitation of our products but of all products sold on the Marketplace. We do not encrypt the product; that’s Microsoft’s decision. So, it seems logical that Microsoft informs its customers.
