The new UK download is not appearing in my content manager (so can’t download from there as I did some of the other content) - but when I go to the market place have been unable to “buy” it (button is greyed out) - I think because I have never been able to get steam overlay to work in MSFS (so buy all my content outside the sim) - before anyone asks overlay has been enabled in steam correctly but shift+tab will not bring it up (All other games I have shift + tab will bring up the overaly but not MSFS!) - note there are many people will the same problem so have tried all the fixes (close FRAPs and MSI disable anti virus…) but unable to get the overlay working …
any help appreciated so I can install the UK update?
Update: managed to resolve the issue with the steam overlay (by closing all other applications running in the background) - but the “buy” button remains greyed out!- seems many other users have reported this issue - but have not seen a solution that works
As far as I know, it isn’t available through the content manager.
MSFS should auto start the update when you start the sim.
just updated my original post - seems the issue is with the market place not working properly as I managed to get the overlay working…
strangely you need to have to “buy” the world update in the market place for it to download…
Yes, the marketplace is kinda weird with the world updates when you need to buy it for free. It will probably gets fixed at some point.
I had no issues with other worlds updates and other free content as they just appeared in my content manager and you could install them…
but requiring that they be “bought” in a market place that seems to be broken for some users is strange…
I only had the buy&download or buy option for DLC (world updates). No idea why it would be different for others.
strange - my last world update came through my content manager - no need to buy you just downloaded it there…
are you saying your previous world updates came via the marketplace? (what version of MSFS do you have?)
