Hi Guys l have a massive problem.
l was getting a lot of screen tearing but since moving to Ultra settings seemed to have gone.
So after a few flights which were fantastic, l decided to do the big flight again Perth Australia to Heathrow Uk. Most of the flight was perfect approx 80%. Once getting into Europe again l`m getting these massive pausing like 2 frames a sec. l have in the past tried different aircraft with a smaller flight but get the same problem.
Has anyone had this problem and knows of a fix?
1 more thing when on the map when l scroll into the London area the map would pause then crash to desktop just wondering if people had the same problem too.
This is likely where the rolling cache needs to be deleted and then recreated. It foesn’t happen every update, but can be needed after some. Worth trying that.
Its better to have it on. People think because they have a “stable internet connection” they don’t need it, but just because a persons connection is good, you’ve no control over the servers dishing out the data, ot the networks that they are connected to.
Have you also cleared the Windows Shader cache in the OS?
I had the issue when the NZ WU came out a few months sgo. I’d never flown in NZ up until that point . It started off ok in Tarunga, but as I flew south it was pausing every few seconds and unflyable. After a couple of days of trying different things, I deleted it and then set it up again, and all was good. No guarantees as all systems are different, but definitely worth a go.
This is not shaders nor rolling cache. It´s the data being moved to/from memory and that feature is not optimized in AAU2. The problem happens also on sparse generic areas. There are lots of microfreezes but some freezes can even last more than 5 seconds indeed. Game needs a patch.
Another thing to check is if you have any addon areas or scenery that needs updating (either through the store, or if it’s freeware, the developer may have patched it) Just throwing things out there, but you may well have checked already.
