Following the recent MSFS 2024 Italy City Update, we thought there was only one sensible thing to do…
Welcome to ITALY WEEK!
For today’s Heli Club adventure, we’re heading to the spectacular Italian Riviera, with a little mountain flying thrown in for good measure.
We’ll begin right on the Mediterranean at Marco Polo Beach, before turning inland for a small foray into the Ligurian Alps. Expect some beautiful valleys, ridgelines and mountain scenery before we descend once again toward the coast.
From there we’ll follow the gorgeous Italian Riviera northwards towards Genoa, one of the cities featured in the recent Italy City Update and a perfect destination for our first flight of Italy Week.
Coffee stop: Around WP60 — find yourself a suitable spot anywhere along the ridge. As always, landing successfully is preferable. 
IMPORTANT – DEPARTURE POINT
Due to the lack of suitable airports near the beginning of the route, the flight plan uses Nice Côte d’Azur (LFMN) as the departure airport.
However, we are NOT departing from LFMN.
Our actual starting point is:
WP1 – Marco Polo Beach
Load the flight plan, get yourself over to WP1 and find somewhere suitable on or around the beach to park your helicopter ready for departure.

Duration: Approx. 2 hours
Coffee: WP60 – anywhere suitable along the ridge
Recommended cruise: 100–110 knots
Any helicopter capable of comfortably cruising at around 100–110 knots should be ideal.
