Introducing Massive Simulations 32’s Thursday Airliner Flights!
Massive Simulations 32 is pleased to introduce a new format for our Thursday Airliner Flights — designed to bring pilots flying a wide variety of classic and modern aircraft together at the same destination.
Each Thursday we’ll select a destination and provide four different mini fly-ins, with each category tailored around aircraft speed, distance and expected flight time. Whichever category you choose, the aim is the same: arrive together and enjoy a busy destination with fellow sim pilots!
The Four Categories
Category 1 – Modern Airliners & Business Jets
Designed for today’s faster passenger aircraft and biz jets. Expect a route suited to aircraft such as the A320/A321, 737, 787, 777, Citation and similar modern types.
Category 2 – DC-6 & Similar
A route designed around the performance of the Douglas DC-6 and other aircraft with broadly similar cruising speeds. Perfect for those who enjoy the golden age of piston-powered airline operations.
Category 3 – DC-3 & Similar
For pilots who prefer to take things at a more leisurely pace! This route will be planned around the Douglas DC-3 and aircraft of a similar speed, giving classic aviation fans their own suitable departure point.
Category 4 – One-Hour Modern Airliner Flight
Can’t make the main departure time? Category 4 is designed especially for pilots who want to start a little later. This will be approximately a one-hour flight in a modern airliner, allowing you to join the rest of the group as everyone converges on the destination.
Departure Time
The main flights will depart at 1130 UTC.
Categories 1–3 will typically be planned for approximately 1½ to 2 hours flying time, with the departure airports and distances adjusted according to the expected performance of each aircraft category.
Category 4 provides the shorter, later-starting option.
The idea is simple: different aircraft, different departure points, one destination.
Whether you enjoy flying the latest glass-cockpit airliner, a classic DC-6, the legendary DC-3, or simply want a shorter flight that fits your schedule, there should be an option for you.
Pick your category, choose an appropriate aircraft, and come join Massive Simulations 32 on Thursdays as four streams of traffic converge on the same airport.
See you in the skies — and at the destination! ![]()
