The way I see it: An easter-egg message by the devs to basically tell us “get off these planes until we completely fix them / overhaul them with Working Title”
Very annoying the alarm sound. Impossible to use this aircraft in these conditions, for me one of the best aircraft in the simulator to date.
Each version bring a new bug ! This one is quite annoying😩
This is not an acceptable answer. I think this should be “Hot Fixed” Seeing as how it was not broken prior to SU6. I appreciate the updates to the simulator but do agree every time an update is released it seems to break what I would consider simple plane functionalities.
guys come on how could this simple bug hasnt been fixed?
So you knew about it and did not do nothing. Ok I get that but you’re literally going to be like…ehhh… we’ll fix it sometime later… have a good one…
Are you serious? Come on now… This is definetly in need of a hotfix when you have a DING going off until you start the engines and release the brake and it’s affecting multiple aircraft. I know you guys are trying your best but its the small things like this that kill the experience for some and to say “Hey! We knew about and didnt have time but on top of that we will go fix it later sometime”.
I would not even replied to this if I didn’t read such a careless answer.
Strobe lights no longer work either, wonder if they knew about that also?
Guess I must have missed something, are you guys saying they’ve confirmed knowing about this and yet decided to skip addressing it before release?
They’re saying that. We’re just quoting from a post above…
Hi everyone,
Thank you for bringing this up to our attention. The issue has been spotted during the BETA session, unfortunately, we couldn’t address it for Sim Update 6.
The sound can be silenced after disengaging the parking brake. We will most likely fix this for the next Sim Update.
Have a great day.
If part of an update introduces new bugs and the developers knew about it, why don’t they just remove it and push it to a subsequent update?
This was one of the best default aircraft to fly. Just awful…
They even don’t test correctly this bug ! the sound can be silenced only if the engine is running !! so you have to do the start sequence with this sound ! One month to wait …great idea…
A lot has been modeed in the TBM and the G3000. It‘s embarrassing like hell for Asobo but could this be „mod-fixed“ too?
Ridiculous…
It’s not just the parking brake, it’s anything that generates a CAS warning. For example, a max pressure differential warning, or cabin altitude warning. So yeah, super annoying.
I found that out today. Had a cabin pressure warning that couldn’t be turned off. I guess the cabin pressure stabilized or whatever but it rang and nothing would turn it off
Mind blowing that they would create, acknowledge, and then release this kind of thing. Unbelievable.
If you want a quick and dirty solution you can comment out the sounds in the sound.xml.
sound.xml is in your:
..\Official\OneStore\asobo-aircraft-tbm930\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_TBM930\sound\
Change the line:
<Sound WwiseData="true" WwiseEvent="tone_warning" ViewPoint="Inside"/>
Into this line:
<!-- Sound WwiseData="true" WwiseEvent="tone_warning" ViewPoint="Inside"/> -->
PS1:
Always make a backup of the file you are editing
PS2:
If you don’t know what you’re doing, do NOT do IT.
PS3:
Works not on the XBOX version.
I experience this warning sound on my XBox – so unfortunately your solution won’t work for me.
Thank you, Asobo!
This solution will do for now, at least until either Asobo fix the problem or a modfix comes along. Thanks for the suggestion.
And yeah, I believe ‘couldn’t fix for SU6’ probably means by the time they got to it, the release date was too close and it didn’t meet the risk threshold. That’s the point where the reward for fixing an issue isn’t enough to warrant the risk of attempting a fix. This threshold gets higher and higher as you approach release time, so there’s a point where only the most grievous gamebreaking issues are worth doing.
Cheers
This is literally the stupidest bug yet. Wasn’t present for all previous mods. Was immediately apparent to anyone who actually uses the sim. How on earth was this allowed through? It’ll be fixed in the next update? That’s ridiculous, it should be fixed tomorrow…. The sim is so annoying now. EVERY update there’s glaring bugs like this that make me fear hitting the update button. Get a grip.
