so im planning to rebuild my whole pc, currently my pc setting its
amd 5700x
with 16 gb ram
4060 ti
with 2 tb ssd
so what hardware do u guys recommend me to upgrade so i can play at max setting in 1080p(dont tell me 4090ti as its way too overkill for msfs )
if possible pls list down ur hardware n settings n fps ure getting so i can gauge what hardware to buy too thanks!
I would choose any GPU with 16gb or more. It will be better for FS2020 and future proof for new games like FS2024.

Your current PC specs are pretty good! I would think that you could max out most of your settings to ultra in the sim with your current cpu/gpu at 1080p. The weakest link in your current PC for running 1080p maxed out is having only 16gb ram.
For years and years and it remains the same. Max/ultra graphics on a flight sim has to be tailored correctly. I dont know many people, if any who runs it on max graphics with Addons (pmdg, fenix, sceneries, ai traffic, etc) without complaining. Youre gonna have to play around with your settings for the best suit to your system and addons.
Gigabyte Z790 AORUS Elite AX motherboard
Intel I5-13600K, 64 GB DDR5 6400 Mhz
Intel A770 GPU 16 GB
Samsung 990 PRO 1 TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD
Gladiator NXT EVO Joystick
MS Bluetooth Mouse & Keyboard
FS2020 Premium
4K, Ultra, TAA, HDR, DX12
Terrain LoD = 600
Object LoD = 900
Newark Scenery Addon
RT Online Traffic
FSLTL
FBW A320 neo
FPS = 25 to 30
Flight smooth, scenery great
Now max it with the fenix a320/pmdg 737, ini jfk, addon AI and lets see how it rolls with thunderstorms
If u load fenix with orbs wsss and cloudsurf wsss i barely get fps over 25 sometime even have a sharp drop of fps when looking around when my setting its like high n ultra in between n both my lod n olod its 100
I have an i7, 32GB Ram, 2 TB SSD and a 4080. When I had a single 27" monitor, I ran everything on Ultra with no issues. I upgraded my rig to a motion platform with 3 50" HD TVs and I had to tone it down a little bit - went with letting NVIDIA optimize for me. TBH, I can’t really tell any difference in quality.
