dear MD82 users, i am using GSX and when boarding i am being asked to open the rear exit. I tried to open them in the EFB but they will only drop to a half position.
i get a message from GSX as “open rear exit - requires hidraulic press”.
what i am missing here?

On the copilot’s side of the instrument panel, near the pedestal, do you have the aux hydraulic and trans switches on?

maybe you can help me with another question regarding the Autopilot?
before i start the descent my display reads “FMS Speed” + “NAV TRK” + “LNAV LVL”.
While dialing the initial approach altitude the aircraft starts to descent (before the TOD). I was seeing other videos and the autopilot should maintain the altitude until it reaches the TOD. Am i missing something here? many thanks!
I believe you may mean VNAV LVL!
If so, I’m not sure what happened.
I tried a few things, but I couldn’t replicate it.
I thought it might have descended if the ALT knob was pulled, but I tried that and as long as it was in VNav it stayed level.
Correct, i meant VNAV LVL.
