Asobo should adjust medevac missions as follows:
- If the reason for transport is truly an urgent or time-sensitive need, the distance of the mission should be short. Pilots should be graded on preserving mission and patient safety while going for expediency.
- If the reason for the transport is the necessary specialized care is farther away, but the patient is stable enough to transport, set the distances to whatever.
Examples:
- Patient was injured while hiking and you are at a remote location - mission should be short and intent is getting them to the nearest qualified trauma hospital
- Patient has cancer and needs transport to a specialist hospital that is far from their home
There should be a variety of transport distances and those distances should be short or long based on reasonable real-world criteria.
