I got sucked into the high pay on a Medevac mission… Short on fuel in the C-208. This one mission was 3.5 hours long and I landed short by more than 10 miles.

Don’t they know that planning includes knowing what the winds (wind reduces your range in flight) are and that you also need 45 minutes or Reserve fuel (fuel remaining in the tank) past your alternate destination? My default fuel selection is one hour reserve, minimum.

Some of my C-172 missions barely made it to the destination due to fuel allowance during planning.
