some as know what the best settings for graphics card as 8 GB ???
How are you able to play MSFS without a motherboard, CPU, RAM and monitor? Just kidding ![]()
Could you please share the full specs of your PC?
Also, could you provide screenshots of your current graphics settings?
I’ve got a 3070, which is great for most scenarios… until you add AI traffic. I just have most things on Ultra, resolution scale is 100%, TOD is 150 (mainly affects CPU anyway). Pre-caching also Ultra or you’ll have stuttering issues when panning. I’m also on 1440p.
Of course, if you’re on something lower than a 3070, just reduce settings in increments from Ultra until you’re happy. There’s really no set way as every system is different. Even the highest end systems have to strike a balance.
I’m definitely pushing my 3070 way above what it’s capable of, and I’ve given up on FPS chasing. As long as it’s relatively smooth, I’m good. ![]()
And don’t forget, the human eye can’t see anymore than 24fps anyway, ducks. ![]()
Hi @Petterwsto,
We’ve moved your post to the Install, Performance & Graphics category for you to receive help from the community as your question had no relevance to a simulator bug report. Please ensure you read the category descriptions when posting on the Microsoft Flight Simulator forums.
Thanks

yes i have share picture
A lot of people found my video useful,
I’m sure you’re able to find your sweetspot with settings when you follow along, takes a couple minutes.
Let me know if it helped, otherwise we’ll look further.

There is no best settings because everyone’s preferences will be different. I.e. some people want performance over visuals, and others want visuals over performance. How that balances out will vary person to person. Not to mention the other hardware variables because not all 8 GB cards are created the same, and the other components will come into play as well. And then there’s the traffic and LOD settings in the sim that will start to hammer your CPU and make it your limiting factor.
The easiest way to experiment and determine the best fit for your PC is to use the Global Graphics settings - Low/Medium/High. With a few exceptions, the settings each level uses properly adjusts the sim to operate with a range of hardware in mind. Start with Low and see what your experience is like.
Over time, the Community has come to understand that the biggest impacts are in the Level of Detail Settings (LOD) - for both Terrain (TLoD) and Objects (OLoD). Setting those to 100 and adjusting up or down has the biggest effects.
There are other factors - such as Live Weather, Live Traffic that can net some additional gains/losses, but the initial plan is for you to use a Global Setting as a baseline - i.e., with no adjustments I typically get XX frame rate using a C172 G1000 at my preferred Class X airport.
okay thanks guys ![]()
Would be great if you could do one with the SU17 update.
I will very soon👍
