I think Multiplayer would be a pretty cool setting for this. You know how single-player mode has live event challenges now? Microsoft/Asobos should hold live competitions for people to watch/enjoy/participate in.

Asobo should select several pilots to complete a landing challenge. Could be one attempt, two attempts, three attempts, etc. Depends on the competition. At the end of the pilot’s attempt they go before judges who will score them based on how they did.

Whichever pilot scores the most, or whoever does the best(depending if there are judges for the specific event), wins. Perhaps a small discount to Microsoft-developed addons, or a free content upgrade, or something.
I think the way to do this, the developers should implement different camera viewports around the airport, like in FSX, that way different angles of a pilot’s landing can be recorded.
I don’t know how crazy of an idea this is, but I think this would be pretty cool publicity and could promote some friendly competition and promote Asobo’s “One shared world” idea. This event should be held in a way Several people can load in at an airport to watch, but also for other people who own Flight Simulator to be able to watch.
