This is Paris currently on a XBOX Series X with a 1Gbit/s fibre glas Internet connection ….lol…good luck Playstation users
That’s what photogrammetry looks like in many parts of the world - regardless of system or connection. Most of it is not meant to be looked at so closely. Fly over it at an altitude you would fly in real life and it will look as intended. I believe altitude restrictions over Paris prohibit flight below 6,500ft unless given an exception, for example.
Lol…French Special Forces in a Super Puma..on a Special Mission..
Are helicopters not allowed to land in Paris?
The peripherals designers are surely going to respond to this new PS5 market and design new peripherals for it. They would be nuts not to take this opportunity. Might take a couple of years but they will rise to the challenge.
Don’t know, never fly them
But of course, there are exceptions - and the point still stands, PG has never looked great up-close. The quality seen there is not any worse on Xbox than it is on most PCs, from my experience.
I agree, up close PG looks awful. I suppose if you intend to fly that close you turn PG off. I also agree PC is no different and so it shall be on PS5 but they will learn to turn it off too. This is an exciting moment, for all of us to help and support the newcomers to the SIM and for us to learn all about this new addition to our world. I am looking forward to it personally, it has added a little extra frisson to this forum.
Just a little side note here - has the imminent introduction of PS5 united the PC and XBox users together?

Its very good to bring msfs24 to the Playstation 5 in my opinion. Hopefully more money brings more Server capacity to all users …hopefully. I am happy to have still the possibility to use msfs2020. They need to increase the server capacities…. I am curios how the whole thing performs on the ps5 Release day..
Popcorn ready.
It really depends on the City ..Munich and Frankfurt look awesome…even New York looks impressive. I don’t understand why Paris is so ugly.. even with updated rolling Cache..
Likely not tied to sim settings whatsoever - just the quality of the data they had available, which will vary from scan to scan, year to year, and probably service-provider to service-provider.
One day later, and after some more research & analysis,
I now 100% agree with you.
In my opinion now, you are 100% right, and I was wrong.
My conclusions were based on some incorrect data about WASM and Sony
and some amazement that MSFS2024 could so quickly be ported over to run natively on the PS5 console hardware,
CREDS to the Asobo Devs , for the better design of 2024, over 2020 ![]()
Is this starting to feel like a ponzi scheme to anyone? Every release is an alpha-level build with advertised features that are missing that is rushed to market. And in order to pay for its continued development, an even bigger, better yet just as unfinished product is sold to a whole new batch of customers. The cycle repeats and the debt of unfinished features is ever mounting. We’re gonna run out of gamers sooner or later here.
Nah, I’m enjoying the sim and have been for years ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, there are probably lots of players that share that sentiment. I’m wondering if there’s even more and a growing number that will be waiting indefinitely for this thing to be fixed or finished.
It’s almost guaranteed the new wave of sony rage coming on here Dec8.
Just wondering if it’s because of broken planes, or missing features or like us not even able to load the sim on day 1. Time will tell
PC/Xbox/PS5, up until now it’s an 80/20 product in total. Hopefully after the PS5 update MS/Asobo does what it promised from the start which is making it better with each update. Not bug fixing and releasing more 80/20 stuff which don’t get updates, only minor fixes.
The new beta build is promising we are at the pricepice where performance updates become feature updates
There have been over 10,000 bug fixes in the first three sim updates released so far, so I’m not sure what you mean.
I think what might be meant, are the fixes to Career mode and the individual aircraft that have immersion wrecking consequences. We all recognise the work being done and the bugs that have been attended to and the stability fixes that are happening in B SU4 and we thank all that contribute to that. Once PS5 is up and running and the initial issues have been attended to then and only then will there be a focus on the other things that have been waiting for attention. (I just hope there aren’t any more “Surprises” to distract). I think if MS/Asobo could give us a timeline about when these will be looked at it might at least reduce frustration knowing that these are somewhat in mind to be looked at.
