General Issues:
•Persistent radio static noise across all aircraft, must turn down every flight.
•Joystick calibration dots remain static and unresponsive.
•Fuel level slider goes past max when adjusted in the settings.
•EFB maps do not allow mouse dragging to navigate periodically; location resets automatically.
•Maximum altitude for all aircraft is incorrectly capped at 12,999 ft.
•The End Flight button leads to a screen showing airport waypoints on the horizon, with no clickable options.
•No landing challenge score data is displayed after completing challenges.
•No clouds on free flight map.
Cessna Citation Longitude:
•External landing and taxi lights are non-functional, making night landings impossible. (wtf lol)
•High-pitched engine noise during cruise flight.
•Internal cockpit lights are very dim.
ТВМ 930:
•Shadows through the propeller will flash excessively when flying towards the sun, regardless of graphic settings, making sunrise and sunset flights impractical.
Camera Issues:
•Custom camera joystick buttons randomly reposition outside the aircraft and unbind assigned views. Also an issue in MSFS2020.

I can only apologise to anyone who bought this game that I also fell for it pre-release. Unfortunately I rarely buy games but it appears that for the few that I do succumb to the hype, are a poor choice: Cities Skylines 2, Simcity (2013), Medal of Honor Warfighter to name few of many
.
Regardless of the issues of basic connectivity over the past few days, trailers and other media hype suggested a reference to different types of user including gamers. The excessive steep setup learning curve even for how to setup hotas controllers even for “essential” function (for example what is difference in aileron left right and axis?) in the absence of preset profiles is a detterent to play.

Kinda weird that we had a statement apologizing for the bad launch experience and then another statement saying it’s the best sim yet and there are no bugs, just some capacity problems due to popularity. I’ll chalk this up to the language barrier rather than be insulted.

Yeah its a bit odd especially given that there are so many bugs not even associated with the bad bandwidth. Its clear its a rushed release with very little in the way of extensive testing. Its also a shame that 3rd party devs had no real access, whch probably indicates that its also a very rushed release. Bad decision really. I would be keen to know how much they have lost through steam in terms of refund requests.

Ahhhh… back to 2020 and a happy Vegemite again.
Currently flying over Denmark with a bunch of mates and thoroughly enjoying the trip.
Tried it in 2024 earlier today…lasted about 20 mins before deciding to call it quits.
Will check it out again in 6 months time.
As a 70 year old, i don’t need or want the continuous frustration of this bucket of bolts that was meant to be ready for release.
Have applied for a refund, fingers crossed.

I had a career mission earlier where I was supposed to press enter to prepare my helicopter passenger for take-off. Instead, my voice pleasantly stated “Placeholder”.

How something like this could pass even the most rudimentary QA effort is beyond me and the relentless release pressure may have superseded all reason here.
There are a thousand bugs in this sim and it most certainly wasn’t ready for anything but an “early release” with a heavy does of “bear with us”…but…but…the bones are very, very good. I’ve had several VR flights in this sim over the last 5 days that made MSFS2020 feel like old news. I’ve reveled in better performance, better lighting, jaw-dropping displacement mapping and so much more.
Give 'em 2 years to fix the most egregious issues and this sim could become truly amazing.

More than a language barrier, they only address game breaking bugs in these types of announcements. And with the server crashing issue fixed, the game breaking issue was quelled.
The thousands of other bugs and perhaps an early roadmap should be addressed in the coming Q&A.

I am afraid we have a long way to go with this one …

It’s just the default soulless and meaningless corporate PR word salad: positive tone, ignoring obvious problems, not really saying anything, not really admitting anything,

I hope so! You know how long ago Seb promised that they will look into cloud density and correct it in MSFS 2020? He even mentioned that it’s two weeks worth effort! It was at least 8-9 months ago. Now we get a new Sim and it’s even worse than the previous one. Something tells me, this is just too much for Asobo and MSFT should either sell the product to some other reputable company or take it over. They should feel really embarrassed about this release!

Im on Xbox series x and my experience with msfs 2024 is atm not so good.
My problem atm is not the server issues. Im sure you will fix this. My biggest issues i have are using the sim with a Xbox Controller.

We need the "reactivity " option back for setting controll sensitivity. This allow to fine tune our setting and make flying with a Xbox Controller possibel
-
If use the right analog stick to Look inside Cockpit it will also highlight buttons like an invisibel cursor. This was not like in msfs 2020 . The problem is if you dont notice that a button is highlight the plane dont react.

I mapped alot of function on the Xbox Controller.
For example i mapped Elevator trim RB+ right analog Up/down .in msfs 2020 i had no issues. But in msfs 2024 when i press RB+ right analog up or down it will trigger also the command to Look Up or Look down.

Let us deactivate our addons from library. Im sure this will cause also some issues for Xbox users
PLZ Asobo Microsoft look into it. This ruin for me the game.

I hear you, but that is a survivorship biased argument. The fact remains the same that a majority of players see “not getting beter” as “not getting better” - not “perfect” ; but sure, technically it might be “get getting better” - but doesn’t seem to
Not so great time this morning. I’m just getting CTD’s every time I boot in now and do anything from a sim menu. I have tried emptying Community (not that there was much in there anyway. Strangely it was all working last night. I also can’t disable all the FS2020 add ons as you currently won’t let us. Maybe re-install time if it keeps CTDing.

EDIT: and 6th attempt at booting in and it’s working again.
I’ve heard this too.
While my sim has run fine thus far and I’ve been able to enjoy it for what it is, I do have to agree that this release feels an awful lot like a beta.
With the number of serious issues on the table at the moment you are ■■■■■■ right nobody is interested.

It’s an unreasonable statement… There are two options: either they live in a parallel reality, or they think we’re fools. There are over 6,000 mostly negative reviews on Steam and counting, plus many more heard across various groups and forums, far outnumbering the positive ones. Four days ago, it was around 3,000, and let’s not forget that on Steam, only those who bought the game can leave a review. Does anyone believe that nonsense? They don’t even bother to admit they’ve released a game with dozens of issues, half-baked, and that they’re working hard to fix it as soon as possible. They don’t even apologize. This is surreal, and it’s the bare minimum we should demand as consumers.

It is a slap in the face of the consumer. I would have expected at least an acknowledgement of the variety of bugs, not related to infrastructure, and some reassurance that those will be addressed with highest priority. Instead we get a “we did a fantastic job” statement and have to rely on hope.
The dev stream tomorrow will be quite interesting. If they convey the same message there, the chat will be on fire

They will. I do believe Jorg and the community managers are passionate about flight simming, but as Microsoft employees they are not allowed to deviate from Microsoft corpororate communication policy, Being an IT journalist for 20+ years I have yet to receive an official statement by a publicly listed company that appears to be written by an actual human being.
