The atmospheric lighting in MSFS 2024 is better in my opinion. 2020 seen alone is great but in comparison looks tinted by a slight sepia tone. In some overcasts and time of the day it used to have a sand storm type of hue.
I think 2024 has a much better autogen coverage for areas in the world that had mountains with bare slopes. I noticed enhanced autogen building height but I need to check more. All in all, 2024 seems a step forward in world rendering and atmospheric light on my PC. I did not verify but I guess the dark volcano ash cloud tops are fixed now with the new lighting system?
The only thing that could in my opinion make people prefer 2020 is the server based streaming / LOD that might not always refresh and produce sharp textures like 2020?
I can’t wait for the Tobii tracker to be fixed so I can enjoy some time and test it properly in multiple scenarios , settings etc.
