To be completely fair, the lighting and clouds look a lot better. And the displacement mapping would be cool if it didn’t completely kill performance. Same goes for the new trees, plants, and animals.
Better water too. But that’s about it I think, and really important stuff like ground textures look a lot worse because they usually don’t load properly.
And because performance is so much worse (at least in VR), everything as a whole looks a lot worse because you need to lower resolution and settings to get anywhere near the previous levels of performance (without actually reaching it).
