It might not happen but a coupe of prominent YouTube reviewers have claimed they were tipped off about it. These same guys were right about the spring sale, and it makes sense given that several devs have already reduced prices this week. Sales usually happen around major holidays, although 4th July is solely a US thing.

Orbx just announced discounts of up to 30% on loads of their products, as part of the"Microsoft Summer Sale", so it does indeed look like it’s coming today at the Marketplace.

It’s not live yet, the current Burning Blue/Sierrasim sale is still running. Shouldn’t be too long now. Based on US Pacific time I think so usually mid/late evening European time.
1,308 items. That’s bigger than the spring sale earlier this year!
Is the RV10/14 (which are on sale now) worth it?

Big sales have always been a case of sifting through the cr*p. I just picked up Impulse’s entire Australian collection, each at about 40% off.
Yes! Both of the SWS RVs are really nice. I own both and paid full price and no regrets.
Noticed that Flightsim.to has a much smaller sale going on, but the prices are much better than Marketplace on some items. Fly2High’s KJAN is $4 or $5 cheaper than the sale price in Marketplace, for instance. Niagara Falls is on sale at fs.to, but Marketplace only has Jeppeson2000’s Victoria Falls discounted, not Niagara.
But MP has some awesome aircraft on sale. The Fox Moth is on sale already – I just bought that like two weeks ago!

I always find that the MP sale is the best generally but never the cheapest on every item. Just Flight’s Palma is available on their own website for just £10.99 (with discount), whereas on MP it’s £14.99 (again with discount).
I’m on Xbox so can only buy from MP but I do like to browse other places to see what’s being offered. Simmarket tends to be quite expensive at full price, compared to MP.
I’ve managed to show a little restraint so far, only spend £50 / $65! There’re another two weeks, though, so it’s gonna be hard…
