Milviz C310R Official Thread

I’ve been waiting and watching also. I have tried painting and quickly realized I’m not very good. :grimacing:

I figured out the starter and now the prime switch works when starting the engines. Basically you set it under Start Position unset (conditional) and in both entry’s left and right you add the LVAR c310-Sw_Primer but on the right one you set the value of 2. Now on to the rest.

Great. I wondered if you could see the LVAR for the 310. I have those as well but they were first there when I installed the P3D version of the 310. I will try this

I’ve managed to sort all my MobiFlight LVAS’s, now in the process of building a small button box to complement my Bravo controller, momentary switches, red momentary buttons :grinning:.

They are there you just have to activate the LVAR plugin that part of SPADNext. You also I believe have to have the 310 active to see them.

Same here. Bought direct as with the Porter but haven’t had any email notices?

Quick question, do you guys fly this plane on lean of peak, peak EGT or rich of peak settings? I did not find info about this in the manual and I’m a bit confused, i want to preserve my engines

Peak EGT according to the user guide.

When the SP is released, we will post the news here, send out emails to our direct clients and send it to Orbx and the Marketplace.

We’re still working on adding the CDI and fixing the other bugs.

When you lean to EGT peak, should you have a HP peak?

I compare EGT peak using the analog EGT meter with the digital HP meter and the peaks are not at the same point.

As far as i know and i researched, it’s recommended to go lean of peak in these continental engines. I’ve been running ROP and Peak EGT for…around 20h of flights and i got wear and tear on the spark plugs and cylinders. So that’s why I do ask, it gets confusing since everyone says something different lol.

I was flying from Maine to Pennsylvania last night. Summer so I wasn’t worried about temperature. 6,000 feet.

Noticed my passengers were quite cold so I kicked on the heat and didn’t think about it again for a while.

Then I noticed my passengers were freezing!

That stupid heater, I probably did something wrong.

Why is it so cold in the Summer? I am not flying that high.

Did I check the circuit breaker? No?

Let’s take a look. Oh, one is out… let me guess… yup… it is the HEATER! :joy:

mostly LOP but I try to keep the cylinder temp below 400

Peak HP is rich of peak EGT.

While rich of peak EGT does provide more power, the engine burns more fuel and cylinder head temperatures run hotter.

Lean of peak EGT runs cooler overall and uses less fuel.

However there is more to it. Engines with a carburettor are more likely to have individual cylinders head temp peak very high when lean of peak especially at wide open throttle. Fuel injected engines handle it better but the optimum for running lean of peak will be a fuel injected engine with GAMI injectors and a good GAMI spread.

FYI: the internet is down across Canada at this time…

The 310 has done real well with the beta 10. Here’s the only thing that I’ve noticed the DME
