Milviz C310R Official Thread

For the 310 the state is saved separately for each livery. When you go back to your old livery your old saved state will be there waiting for you. It’s like every livery is a separate plane

Not only every livery, but every tail number is also a seperate saved state. Check out page 2-19 of the manual for details.

Random thought, if you had several liveries with the same tail number would they all use the same saved state ?

I beleive there is only one livery that provides a custom tail number.

As supplied yes, but the addon liveries tail numbers are set by the painters and it’s not inconceivable that two (or more) painters might release liveries with the same tail number.

thanks guys, appreciate.
Didnt realize that until i changed for the first time yesterday.

Anyone here using TDS GTNXi?

Yes, use it, love it.

I got yesterday. Loving it as well. Resolution is waaaay better than the PMS , and way more features
Coming from the PMS Premium i got a little lost.

One thing im confused. One display i set the flighplan and the other shows nothing on the map or flightplan. Like i need to set on both displays the same info.

What im doing wrong? Any tips for config?

Source of navigation using GTN 750xi or should use Flight Simulator?

Also are you guys able to pop up separate screen using ALTGR key? i tried and got a black screen

The saved state files include just the tail number, so I’m guessing two liveries with the same tail number might be considered the same “plane.” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

IMO there only 2 disadvantages on the TDS

  1. NAV database is already 1 year old and should be very expensive to upgrade.

  2. Both units working independently from each other. This you have to input your flight plan twice.

Al other features are top!!

Thanks buddy! getting using to it but loving all the features.

Still trying to figure how to pop up the window and if im using the right source of navigation.

cheers

this happens when i try to pop up

I have been wondering about this. I must remember to try it to see if it works. Flightplans from such as LNM for instance can be saved in the correct and appropriate folder for retrieval by the GTN. Soooo… if you were to save flightplans on unit 1, would you be able to retrieve that same FP for unit 2?

nop! tried that

Oh well… We live in hope

That video on mixture control is really interesting, but now it’s making me think I’ve been misunderstanding mixture control for a long time, or maybe it’s different in planes versus cars/small engines?

I always thought that running rich of peak resulted in cooler temperatures because the fuel cools the cylinders, but that video shows that it’s the opposite case. Have I been wrong this whole time or are plane engines just different?

Rich and lean can both add cooling. One just does it with fuel, and the other by running cooler.

Yes, the TDS is excellent. As info, synching up the two units (aka Crossfill) is the #1 most requested feature on the TDS forum. Along with sharing the saved flight plans.

on a real airplane its suppose to sync or its independent?

When you look CHT temperature curve, at the rich side (right side from the peak) you can see the CHT temperature drop. But maybe is higher at the rich point than lean point.
