Rotate RED line + 5 kts. Final at BLUE line until runway made. I did some power off full configured stalls but cant keep the nose up even with full up trim and backpressure. The aircraft is way to nose heavy. Going to try to adjust my controls…using the Honeycomb yoke btw. I have 2k in real aircraft so I can tell you it handles no where near like the real aircraft but thats prob a sim issue. Trying to tune.
Are you using the SP1 release candidate?
OK made sure my control settings are good. I trim to the nose up takeoff limit and after takeoff have to pull back with a lot of force. If I let go it will dive into runway. After gear retraction I trim for blueline at takeoff thrust and the nose up trim is almost to the stop. On final, once runway is made I back speed down to about 95 (redline + 10) during flare reduce thrust slowly to idle and it drops like a rock. The power off, fully configured stall spped at MGW (5500 lbs) should be around 70 kts. I think the problem is the CG. I tried putting bags and pax. in back but had no affect. This is how I flew the airplane real world for 2k hours. Now if it was covered with ice than it fly more like that…ask me how I know. lol. I checked the config file but I dont see a CG parameter…any ideas to adjust?
I know you’re not going to like this but… you should double check your hardware because we’ve tested this back and forth with 3 real 310 pilots with thousands of hours and none of them have your issues.
I’d suggest first trying it without your hardware.
If you’re still having issues, then get on the support forums. Page 3 of the manual for that.
Moving the cg… if it’s there, it will be in the manual. That said, I don’t think it’s possible to do
Its version 1.0.0 is that SP1?
No. SP1 hasn’t been released to the general public yet. If you got it from us directly, you can hit up the support forums and grab it there.
Hey thanks for your input. The product is excellent and really brings back fond memories. The graphics and systems realism are spot on…I just have issue with CG. I just did checks and I lose elevator authority in the landing config at 80-85 kts but NO stall horn. So I really have to fly it to the ground with a lot of power to do a smooth landing. I will go to the MILVIZ support forums…thanks
Also at 5500 lbs, ISA, fully configured, power off the aircraft loses elevator authority 10 -15 kts above the end of the white arc. Cessna 310 Flight Review - YouTube for proper stalls and landing.
You like the way 1.1.8 221121 (SP1 RC) works.
Great update so far. Flies better, seems more stable, and the gauges are readable in all lighting conditions now.
cool…looking foreword to it.
Anyone else finding clicking on the tablet to select different options really hit or miss (literally)?
I’m not on the Service Pack preview (MS Market version). Often the first click after hiding and showing tablet works but further clicks not registered. I have head tracking but am not moving my head. The only reliable button is the on/off button. Even “Click to Continue” on the screen often doesn’t work. If it does then the next click anywhere (even big category / page buttons at top) are dead.
I see the radio buttons dim to grey when I hover my mouse, so it knows my mouse is there, but click does nothing.
I really find difficult to fly any GA aircraft other than the BB C310R. Nothing come close in term of in depth, almost study level. There is the Sting S4 and hopefully A2A will come up with something in a near future. Even so, the C310R is the best for me.
Does anyone are aware of similar GA plane that have saving state, wear and tears, circuit breaker, etc.?
Be safe, fly safe. : )
Just Flights Arrows and Warrior II,
However be aware they are are waiting on an update to fix a few issues with the current version of the sim.
The WB Sim Improvement Upgrade for the Asobo steam gauge Cessna 172.
Circuit breakers, state saving, oil consumption, realistic battery life based on temperature, engine deterioration due to normal wear and tear or overstress, spark plug fouling, collapsing nose gear when landing too hard and fully CFD, NPS and soft body simulation enabled. Plus some more bells & whistles.
That’s right, I forgot. And I own the Arrow… : )
Thanks
Edit: Problem, is that I do a lot of world travel, and I prefer a plane that have anti-icing system. : )
Very interesting, I will look at it for sure.
Thanks. : )
Sooo is sp1 coming anytime soon??
Yes, very very soon according to a post a few months back.
But … nooooo promises ![]()
