Milviz C310R Official Thread

I didn’t mean to offend you. I understand it is work in progress. I just noticed that it look off and wondered if that was correct. Sorry.

Unfortunately I’m can’t afford to fly a 310 IRL. But I am a PPL with experience from Piper SuperCub up to 182 with G1000. So if that counts for anything sign me up

No offense taken.

I should add that, for some reason, I almost always sound super defensive when I write stuff. That’s not the case.

I totally appreciate knowing if there’s a problem… so thank you.

You’re welcome. Glad to be of help.

everyone’s teasing. How about some releasing for a change?

Hopefully it’s not far far out. This sim is dying for a good twin :grinning:

Sounds like the 310 will be worth the wait…

It’s not far out. Hang in there. We’re finishing up the last bugs and tweaks.

This is one of those “must have” aircraft for me. I can’t wait.

I hope that trim switch sound gets reduced quite a bit for release. You can’t hear that at all over the engines in this beast IRL. It’s a very loud aircraft. The wheel sounds are quite a bit too loud too, but the gear retraction is good IMO.

What a fancy model, with the screens etc. Looks fantastic, the owners have upgraded her well! Any plans to make an old clapped out one one day?

Looking really forward to this release. Many hours spent in these go karts and it’s larger siblings.

We’re trying for immersion here… So having all sounds audible is important… even if, IRL, you’d never hear them cause of the headphones and engine noise.

I wanted it dirty but… no one else did. Oh well.

I am ready to be immersed in the next video. Any news on this?

I know it’s a totally different beast, but in terms of fidelity and immersion, you guys are approaching the territory I am very fond of - what you have achieved with KA 350 in P3D. It remains one my favourite GA aircraft to fly in that sim along with A2A’s stuff and what you did with the Porter and Corsair here is nothing short of phenomenal, so I am REALLY looking forward to see how this does. In addition, you seem to have the Beaver, ATR, and the SR-71 in the works, which is exciting, because there is just no way I am gonna miss any of those.

When there is a description on Orbx that the Porter allowed you to achieve more and you are looking to up the game with every new release, you weren’t kidding.

I am getting tired of myself kissing your butt now, so I digress. But I once again wanted to express appreciation for what you do, it’s a lot of work, and I know the criticism can sometimes get discouraging. I wanted you and the team to know that your products are some of the best reasons to fly in MSFS, to the point where I am willing to forgive your last year or so in Prepar3D.

Their King Air 350 would be an instant purchase for me too.

I would get the King Air as well… but it’s important to understand product perspective. KA350 in P3D holds a very special place - I can’t think of anything else in there that simulates the Collins ProLine as well as it does. THAT is a reason to fly it in P3D. Everything else is done REALLY well including engine failures when not used properly etc, but the ProLine simulation is one of the most outstanding merits of that aircraft in the P3D ecosystem.

MSFS is slightly different. Thanks to WorkingTitle, we already have a really good ProLine simulation in the form of CJ4. If I want to fly the ProLine aircraft, that’s gonna be my go-to and it’s free. YES, CJ4 is VERY different from KA350, but my point stands - there is just not as much of a breakthrough. What this sim needed badly was more high fidelity twins. THAT is what we are getting with C310. Yes, if/when KA350 comes, it will be both a great twin AND finally a realistic avionics package because whatever that thing is in the Asobo KA350… let’s just say I am NEVER tempted to fly the Asobo KingAir. Why would I? I’d rather fire up P3D.

The 310, TO ME, was a more important aircraft to get out there because it satisfies a draught of good twins. Other stuff will come, I am sure. I am kinda seeing (or maybe overanalyzing) a bit of strategy in terms of “let’s get some VERY different birds out there”… The Corsair, Porter, 310, Beaver, ATR, and SR-71 couldn’t be any more of a varied portfolio. That’s GREAT… very different from say… Carenado, who seems to be ok with getting a bunch of similar piston aircraft out there.

True. There is no doubt the quality that will be had from this Milviz plane but for Carenado…they stepped up their game for this sim. I am talking about the Seneca. 30 dollars and decently modeled, decent performance (including engine out and stalls) and integrated GNS750. I would have to say that my usual choice of payware focuses on quality (kodiak, dc6, JF Arrows) but this is still fun plane to fly. Likely, I will fly it a lot less…a lot less…when the 310 is released. For the moment I got it it has helped satisfy some of the need to fly a twin. I cannot say anything more about their other planes.
This Milviz 310 will be amazing and all of us are looking forward to it.
I wish Asobo would stop messing around. I couldn’t imagine being a 3rd party dev right now haha. Another update in about 2 days will likely bring more bugs. Argh.

Errr… isn’t this the vid that is further up the thread with the circuit at Shoreham?

Yep just thought the same thing…

So I opened this in a new window to watch later, then forgot about it and fired up flight sim. A few minutes later I hear this buzzing sound, and it sounds like it’s coming from my PC, like the GPU fan is suddenly making a lot of noise! I finally figured out it was the plane audio in this video, and it was playing through my VR headset which is sitting on top of my PC. Glad to know my GPU wasn’t suddenly going bad!
