Milviz C310R Official Thread

Hello! try following these steps… WASM on Xbox Update - 3.24.2023.
If it doesn’t work, try deleting the addon app inside the MSFS folders, enter the game, let the download finish, disconnect and enter the game again.
For me when these errors happen usually these paths have worked.

I have followed all steps mentioned in that post to no effect, yet(!), to my surprise, disconnecting my Xbox from the power outlet as part of rearranging my setup, it now seems to work perfectly! Might have needed an additional complete reboot of the system after reinstalling everything again…
Gonna take it for a spin around town… finally!!
Thank you for the assistance and good will.

Someone on here is going to test this but just thought I would ask you as well. Do the sims failure settings in the main menus have any impact on the realistic failures we set via the tablet?

Im wondering if we need to disable the sims failure settings so that the aircraft settings take effect.

I over stressed an engine the other day and my flight just ended and I had restart, I had both sim settings and aircraft tablet failures all enabled, this seemed like the in games sims failure settings override the tablet settings, would a stressed engine or airframe end game instantly if I just had the tablet settings enabled and sims settings disabled?

Thanks

The sim settings have no effects on what you see in the tablet. The damage is recommended to be off because sometimes the sim does weird things (like overstress the aircraft when you open the storm window)

More of this is discussed in the manual I linked above.

Thanks will take a look, but to confirm you are saying its best to disable the damage/failure setting in the sims settings.

I would turn crash damage off, but leave engine damage or any other types of damage effects on. It may or may not affect the 310 but some planes need engine damage on for damage features to work.

Ok thanks, that one seems to cause the stress damage I think, which ends flight instantly.

This aircraft is extremely enjoyable to fly, as an Xbox player, I’m extremely thankful that the devs of this aircraft released it on the Xbox platform as well. It’s worth every penny!

Love this aircraft, but getting far to many CTD’s and black screens!!.

Xbox by the way!!. Also I completely shut down the console after a very flight. May have to revert to the 414!.

Hello! I have it too and I already have about 40h, I just had a black screen when I was on final approach to land on a long flight I made from Miami to the Bahamas, but I managed to land normally. I didn’t have any CTD so far, but one thing I did, but I don’t know if it really works, was not using almost all the storage on the HD, I don’t know if you understand me, English is not my natural language. And I don’t have any third-party airports installed either. Last CTD I had was with A310 from inibuilds and it’s been a while, and after that I deleted games I didn’t play to leave more storage. Rolling cache disabled here and I use Xbox Series S.

Hi yes series s also!!.
Have deleted quite a few addons to help, but only having an issue with the 310, the 414 chancellor has been solid!.

No issues here as yet on series x. Do you have any other 3rd party content installed like airports/scenery?

My sim is mostly vanilla state apart from some 3rd party aircraft installed like the 310, and a few liveries.

Hi yes I’ve quite a lot of 3rd party airports, which I’ve deleted today.
My little 310 has behaved since , need to fly it some more and report!.

That’s a good start, my advise would be carry on for some time see how it is and then slowly install the airports again, or just install them when you plan to fly to/from them.

If you then get a ctd or other issues you can almost pinpoint the cause.

Happy Flying.

Unfortunately, a ton of scenery designers haven’t realized, despite all the constant discussion on the subject in the forums, that you can’t just use the “mycompany” and “modellib.bgl” or other common filenames and paths. Every library and file has to have a unique filename, which can be created by have unique path directories. Some developers even create multiple products which clash with each other… I have no idea how they don’t find that in testing.

It’s easy to fix on PC, not possible on Xbox.

While I agree with Asobo that the VFS is very powerful and they shouldn’t move away from it, given the issues it can cause, they’ve got to eventually take some responsibility here and figure out how to address this problem. There’s far too many clueless developers out there causing problems for their customers, and Xbox is a very important platform for them to support, and, sadly, there’s nothing Xbox users can do except throw away their purchases of poorly written products.

I’m not saying this is definitely your issue, but, a black screen on approach to an airport, it is highly likely that’s the issue as the VFS goes and loads a different library, reads gobbledygook and throws up its hands and crashes the software.

Not had many problems over the last 18mths, had a few issues with the kodiak latest being that the engine shuts down when you shift to high idle.
Again the 414 chancellor just works, although I realise that can change at any time!.
I will continue with the 310,and see if it’s solved but 2hrs on it today issue free :+1:

Hello Lads and Gents
I just tried the 310 a bit after some time and I do experience a rather strange issue with the autopilot.
I have set the altitude and climb rate. When I engage the AP, the plane would go into a steep dive - and after maybe 20 seconds it would slowly level out and climb again. After this inital kamikaze-run all seems fine.
Do you have that too?

I’ve had the same experience, several times. What suffices for me as a procedural work-around is to first maneuver the aircraft fairly close to the path of the flight plan. Doesn’t have to be exact; just close. Then I engage the AutoPilot’s NAVigation. The aircraft then, using GPS, makes whatever tiny course corrections necessary to align with the flight plan. Once that’s working, and I’ve gained a thousand or so feet above ground level, I then engage the AutoPilot’s altitude/vertical speed. Since I’ve been using this procedure, I’ve not had any kamikaze-like dives.

Have you properly trimmed before engaging the AP? Asking as I’ve experienced something similar in the past (with a different aircraft). Cheers!

I have also noticed that whenever I engage the autopilot it makes abrupt pitch movements. Especially, it does not seem possible to engage the autopilot smoothly in climb, even if the aircraft is perfectly trimmed for a moderate vertical speed and the autopilot is set to match the current vertical speed prior to engagment.
If anyone knows a workaround it would be very much appreciated!
