My experience has been the exact opposite - no matter the flight sim, people complain continually that the sounds are too muted/unrealistic, etc. These planes are meant to be heard. As for the 310? I think they are great. Just turn down the ■■■■ volume button if you think they are too loud.
And no, there is no such thing as “legal audio levels” that any flight sim or game developer has to adhere to (that’s a fact, not an opinion. I work for a major flight sim developer). Never has been and likely never will be.
Audio levels at the computer output are line-level, anyway. You want it to be no more than unity or whatever dB output doesn’t clip speakers.
But my audio gear can easily produce a wide range of SPL, well in to the 120dB range (or higher, at least once) at several dozen feet. Headphones can do similar up to an inch or so, a speaker built in to most monitors far less.
So, no, there’s no way to control the final SPL, due to various end-user setups. What can be controlled, at a basic level, is the normalization of audio levels (meaning mixing and even compressing them so there’s nothing that sits a lot louder than others), and the clarity of the signal.
I think we have missed the point. Becuse I do music/sound production on the side I have a high end audio system that my PC is hooked up to…I can really rattle the walls.
The engine sound are superb
When I switch planes I can turn the volume down in the sim.
I am continuly changing the volume when I switch planes. I regularly fly 8 different planes. 7 of them are roughly the same volume for engine sounds. I don’t have to change anything else in sim.
the 310 engines are a little louder than the rest. Much better than it was prior to v1.9.6_230707.
no big deal…just commenting on the realism
The circuit breaker is a known MSFS issue. The problem is the right one fires the wrong LVAR in the sim. When Asobo fixes it it our breaker will work correctly.
It is a bit difficult to simulate the 120 decibels an average airplane has on a home television (or desktop computer) that´s why a real pilot will maybe never be fully satisfied with the sound quality.
Just because it feels too silent and not enough bass compared to real aircraft.
Yes I’m also having issues with the trim after this update. It is way too sensitive, and gets exponentially more sensitive after a few consecutive clicks.
Hi there, my solution would be: find the flight_model.cfg in your aircraft folder, decrease the number behind the entry elevator_trim_effectiveness . Make a copy of the file first. It’s a bit of trial and error, but you’ll get there eventually.
Turbulence in the sim or inputs on the flight controls are the only things I can think of.
Could be a dirty signal from your flight controls sending random inputs for 50ms which don’t affect the plane, but are enough to trigger the disconnect.
