Milviz C310R Official Thread

There was an issue with wear and tear/dirt accumulation, it was fixed with the last update.

The update has not made it’s way to marketplace/Xbox yet as there are a few issues that were discovered after we released it. Once we get these things fixed we will send out a new version and submit it to marketplace.

I realize you guys are anxious to get it but we need to make sure everything is working properly before we send it.

That’s great news! Thanks for the response. And thanks for creating such a nice module :ok_hand:t2:

Since the upgrade all cylinders of the right engine have the same temp, the left engine is a couple of degrees different than the right but all cylinders of the left engine seem to be the same temperature.

Weird issue.

Took off all fine, suddenly left engine started playing up, struggling, the screen that shows its engine info kept flickering. I managed to solve it by switching that switch, not sure the name that has low off and high, too high and it was running fine again, landed turned off all engines and attempted to start them again right engine started fine but the only way to get the left engine started was by flicking the switch to high.

Does this sound like a bug or posssible in sim failure?

I use system realism and set failures to rarely so they can occur.

You mean the AUX Fuel Pump Switch?

As I was leaving KSFO this morning I was syncing the props and I just got to say I think this aircraft has the best prop animation in the industry. Truly Superb!

Yep thats it, left started playing up at about 4000ft, switched to high and it was stable again.

landed, cut engines, but could not start left engine again unless the fuel pump was set to high??

I also got black avionics at this point so perhaps it was just one of them sessions where everything was screwing up.

Possibly Carb ice?

Another thing I’m finding is once in the air the 310 is always banking to the left, is that normal?

How do I counter that. I tried reducing the prop on the left but that didn’t work.

No. If your NumLock key is on try striking 5 to center out your controls.

I’m not using keyboard if that’s what you mean
, I’m on Xbox here.

Make sure all your trims are centered.

You can use the aileron trim, below the throttle quadrant, you will find it with the name “roll”, use the ball to set your trim.

An thanks, I’ve completely overlooked that, I just presumed that would be set correctly, does that often need adjusting in flight or is it a set and forget before flight?

Normally you need to compensate the p-factor from your engines (banking to the left).

But there are some cases when you need to reset your roll trim:

  • Unbalanced fuel tanks or weight (more passanger/cargo in one side).
  • Weather.

I see thanks, so is it a case of setting this trim to middle before flight and adjusting in flight if necessary?

I mean when I got the banking to left, I had set fuel quantities the same in all tanks and I had no passengers or luggage.

So it was either weather or perhaps me the pilot on left side perhaps causing it?

Not always.

For example, in the take-off stage, if you have a strong wind from your right, it’s recommended to have some roll trim to your right.

Just for clarity, p-factor does not cause rolling to left – it causes yawing to left. Roll is something else entirely.

You are right.

Sounds like a mechanical fuel pump failure to me, since the AUX pump resolves the issue. If you repair the fuel pump on that side, does the issue go away? Black avionics could be that you ran down the batteries from cranking the starter so much trying to get that engine running?
