Milviz C310R Official Thread

does anyone has a good camera cfg file ? my pilot always sits on the back seat.
does anyone has the coordinates ?
many thanks

Why not just set your own? Then you get exactly what you want, takes about 10 seconds.

which parameter then do i have to put in ?

Guys, just came back to the plane after a couple of months of a break from MSFS, tried to take off and almost crashed

Seems like there is some problem with the trim that was not there before. I’ve tried googling it, and it seems like there might have been a fix published on the Milviz forum (SP3?). The problem is that I have bought it on the marketplace. Tried checking the version history on the marketplace, but there is no data. Was this supposed to have been fixed in the marketplace version?

Seems like the fix is to just start with a lot of trim down for now, but despite that it doesn’t seem fully right in how it functions.

I’m not sure what you mean by this?

didn’t you want to send me the correct coordinates for the pilot seat whcih must go into the cameras.cfg file ?

No I mean just position the camera where you want it to be and then save the camera.

Sounds like a hardware issue. I’m using marketplace version as on Xbox and it flies very well, easy to trim with trim wheel on my turtle beach flight stick, not that it needs much.

make sure you have no spoiler assigned

Well, sounds a little bit mysterious

Just checked. I do have spoilers assigned, but just to a keyboard key, and not to controllers, not sure how this could cause it, but I guess I can always try to unassign them.

Maybe to describe what is happening:

The trims were in the white for the takeoff, the payload was evenly spread and still the plane tried to take off much too early and then shot in the air. I had to apply lots of trim down to bring it under control, but the rest of the flight was ok. The second time the same thing, with all passengers. When I use my controller to trim or use the mouse the trim wheel just stutters back and forth a little bit, but doesn’t turn normally like expected. I would expect it’s just in a different position than shown by the model.

I already have 100 flying hours in this airframe, so I think I would notice it, if it would happen before  Other planes are fine.

Sounds more like the AP code is kicking in even though clearly it would be disabled for take-off.

camera.cfg pilot seat fix worked but not so straight forward. msfs does not allow saving the pilot seat. have to save positon with CTRL-ALT-1 and move the coordinates manually into the camera.cfg-

If you installed the view mod from flightsim.to “milviz310R better views” previously it will cause these issue. It is NOT updated to work with the last release and will screw up your views.

Make sure you fully uninstalled the old one before installing the latest release as the viewpoints were changed to accommodate changes to the flight model.

thanks ! but no liveries nor mods. native C310 installation. my pilot was sitting on the back seat !

There is an invisible spoiler, so yes it can have an effect.
If you need a spoiler for other aircraft, then I suggest to make a new controller profile for the 310 without it.

Please drop me a email at support@blackbirdsims.com so we can troubleshoot further. It sounds like you have the old cameras.cfg with the new version.

found the culprit, an old forgotten mod

Thanks.

Ok, it seems like I have the newest version, because I do have the trim sliders in the tablet. Unassigning/toggling the only spoiler related binding I had does not change anything. But it’s fine, as long as I remember to take off with excessive nose down trim that is outside of the white field I am fine for the whole flight. No idea why it works like this now, but not worth to troubleshoot if there is an easy fix like that.

The only other thing I could think is if you activate the autopilot on the ground it can cause serious issues with everything being out of wack for a takeoff.

Nice Touch of Realism:

I fly the C310R regularly. It’s my favorite aircraft in the simulator. Yesterday I experienced a new sense of realism. I had just landed in Eastern Iowa Airport (KCID) in Cedar Rapids. There was a nasty crosswind (27 knots per Little Nav Map). Landing was tough. I had no rights even attempting. But, I made it. All was good. I taxied to a fuel pump and parked. As always, I started through my shut down procedure. The last thing I do is open the cabin door. Well, that’s when the realism came into play. The door would only open part way. I switched to an external view and to my surprise the cabin door was trying to open, but it kept being pushed back to a nearly closed position. That 27 knot crosswind I had just landed in was keeping my cabin door from fully opening.

I thought that was a nice touch of realism between the simulator and my C310R.
