Milviz C310R Official Thread

certrainly not. it´s just not optimised. I dont bother adding any of my addons just now as i don´t believe that “virtually” everything will wortk. How should that even work. ´ll just wait until stability is, well, stable…

I don’t mind waiting if it’s affecting everyone. I just want to ensure I don’t put it away until it’s ‘stable’ only to find it’s just me having the issue. I just want confirmation it’s not just me.

Just took v2.0.4 for a spin out of YBSU. Was only a short flight so didn’t test every little detail but I never dropped below my locked 60FPS and the only things I noticed not working were the airspeed indicator and the yoke animation - certainly far from unusable for me… 13900k, RTX4080, 64G RAM.

Sane here. I’m back to flying it in 2020.

I’ve got the Orbx version and I don’t think they’ve got an update yet.

Is v2.0.4 an old version? How did you get it installed in FS2024?

I bought it direct from Blackbirdsims and MilViz send me an e-mail whenever an update is available - 2.0.4 aka SP3 is the most recent update that I have.

We released it as a test version to make sure there were no new issues in 2020/2024. There are no other fixes, other than replacing the WASM with non debug code. We will probably push it out to customers today. Please note it will not fix all the other compatibility problems in 2024 but should help with the FPS drop.

Is the frame drop that you’re talking about when the Sim drops you next to the aircraft and it’s like a slide show? I hope that is fixed. I currently have to do the shift C really quickly when i’m dropped outside so that I can get in the cockpit. Sometimes I"m not quick enough and it’s a pain.

Also, I’m not sure if it’s an incompatibility issue or not, but I’m finding the tablet, and the Avionic screens are really really dim in daylight. I mean, so dim that you can’t read it at all. It looks like it’s off. Only when you change the time to night time can you see the screens. Is that a Sim issue, or a compatibility issue?

Lastly, one thing I noticed is that in 2020 the windshield is nice and clear, whereas in 2024 it’s showing blemishes and scratches way too easily that makes it hard to see outside at certain times of the day. I wish this could be turned down to make it clear like in 2020. I realise this is probably pretty subjective, but I love flying the C310R because I can also enjoy the scenery, but it breaks my immersion when it looks really dirty and scratched to the extent it is. Is this the same for other people.

On a side note, I hope Orbx push out the update soon.

Dim displays in 2020 aircraft is a known bug. There was a fix for it, but, like the VFS download tool, the code didn’t make it into the release.

Is that bug something that will be fixed at some point? Is there any kind of timeframe for it?

BTW. Probably a silly question but is there a difference between the Milviz C310R and the MV310? Is there any advantage of one over the other? I’m just wondering if it will be worth getting the MV310R over waiting for Orbx to release any updates when they get released.

  1. It was fixed, but didn’t make it into the release package. I don’t know why.
  2. They are the same.

The frame drop is due to the WASM not being compiled in a way that 2024 expects. Working on that now and it will be released everywhere soon, including Orbx.

It’s always a good idea to buy direct from us for a whole bunch of reasons, including that you get access to test shots for fixes.

The dimness is on Asobo/MS as is the glass.

Ok cool. Thanks for that.

Oh and there’s no difference between the two types.

I’ve got the email with the download link, but the download keeps failing. I’ll leave it and try later.

I didn’t get an email.

Me neither !

No email here!

Download eventually worked and update installed, thanks.

For anyone that didn’t receive the email, just find your original purchase email with the download link, you should be able to get it that way, the new version is 2.0.5.
