Milviz C310R Official Thread

Remove the freeware PMS50 GTN750 from your community folder. It conflicts with the TDS mod.

I saw that. I may pick it up eventually, but there is already excellent freeware from BullfrogSim on flightsim.to. It is here if you haven’t seen it yet. Curious on your thoughts.

Also, make sure that the stand-alone exe didn’t crash on you. If it is missing from your tray, just fire it back up and carry on.

Thanks, will do

Needs to be feathered before you reach a certain minimum rpm otherwise it won’t go.

Regarding flare behaviour, the Carenado Seneca acts close to the Milviz C310, you need to keep throttle till you decide it should fall onto the runway.
The lightweight Carenado Seminole is floating using throttle idle more, the Carenado Mooney floating endlessly when you don´t bring it to stall speed.
Guess a real world behaviour of different weighted aircraft.
I need to get used each of it, that´s the fun part.

Anyone using a Honeycomb Bravo…is it possible to feather props using detents?

No. The PC-6 has that control mapping but not present in the C210R. The C210 will feather if the prop lever is pulled back to the lowest end of the Bravo axis. This does not work on the ground in my tests. But reliable in flight. To demo, mixture cutoff, then pull prop back to minimum. When the prop stops the blades are feathered. Pitch for 106 KIAS. Restoring prop lever for windmill start is not something I have seen to work. The prop starts spinning but the RPM gauge does not move. Instead, use starter then restore the prop to normal pitch. If using autopilot, turn off immediately on engine failure or it will crash you with trim runaway.

On the maiden flight now and it certainly does feel alive. Quick circuit at Gloucester and now on airways for some number crunching. Only issue I have seen so far, is that even though I selected the GNS530 in the EFB, that it insists on putting my TDS GTN750xi into gauge mode and appearing in the aircraft itself, rather than on its dedicated touchscreen where I can fiddle around to my hearts content. This could do with fixing please Milviz and if anyone knows a workaround in the interim, I would be grateful if they would let me know.

All in all, a great effort and although it is quite a bit less quick than the 414, it is good for touring.

You have to remove the TDS gauge folder from the community folder when you want to use it externally on a touchscreen, for example. Don’t think milviz can do anything about it. TDS only allows one or the other at the moment.

Two TDS’s running in the C310 will have a very Big FPS impacts on lesser machines –

No pain - no gain

All seems smooth here with both up and running, it is just that sadly, they are in the wrong place  I suppose I should add that it is a fairly fast machine on a 12900K though.

Thanks for your time and effort here, it is appreciated. The 414 works differently amd will only apply the GTN as a gauge if you select the appropriate version. It works perfectly if you choose the GNS530 as the core GPS in the aircraft and then the GTN runs in standalone mode. I was hoping for similar here.

Ah got it. Sorry I misread what you said. Haven’t tried it in the 414 but it makes sense that you should be able to use it in standalone that way.

Edit: I suspect it has to do with how they load the aircraft. In the 414 the panels are different models (liveries, for example). In the 310 it may load them all and just show what you select. Just a guess.

How do you tune the ADF with the old-style navigation system? I can’t figure out how to tune the middle number. In the screenshot there are 2 knobs (inner/outer), but I can only tune the first or third number… So I can go from 606->706 or 606->607, but can’t change to 606->616…

Press the inner button. It toggles between the two numbers.

Do you mean the inner knob on the right of the ADF unit? It isn’t clickable for me, I can only rotate it.

point to knob, press and hold left mouse button, right click to change to 10s mode, release left button and adjust 10s with mouse wheel.
alternative -
point to knob, press and hold left mouse button, right click to change to 10s mode, continue to hold left button and move mouse left or right

Instrument Description Tooltips option enabled can be helpful to see what is going on
