Very simple standalone module which allows one to steer the pushback using the rudder after toggling it on, either through the ATC menu, or using a bound command (Shift-P by default).
Be warned that this has had minimal testing! I had at least one case of the tug heading “sticking” even after a reboot. 
Download the pre-compiled Zip from here. Unpack into your community folder.
The source code is also available and there are a few other little modules which are unlikely to be of interest to anyone but me. Bugs and suggestions should be added as Issues in GitHub.
