I am not an expert either but none of the default aircraft have mirrored textures. That’s why the new Asobo liveries are not mirrored. I wish Asobo would fix it so third party liveries don’t have mirrored textures. But from what I have read it’s currently not planned.
They are vectors… I loaded the model file, and just great… Asobo made a new decal texture vector taking up the exact shape of “Flight Simulator” and “FS” which just feed off a color, The texture sets are still mirrored

Actually I don‘t fly the 747 while the textures are mirrored. I wonder that Asobo doesn‘t give an official statement about that bug or does Asobo think it isn’t a bug? Why did they change it to „not planned“ in the dev update? The sim with this big community has such an high potential, especially all these free livery-designers/developers, you can see that in the A320-section which is not as mirrored as the 747.
Please Asobo, give us a sign!

Why is the mirrored textures on the 747/787 not being fixed ??, this is crazy, it’s a simple fix Asobo, each time a update comes along, its always said “Not Planned” Why ?, fix this bug please.
That this isn’t even in the plan to be fixed is ludicrous. Come on, let’s get with the program here!

I wonder if this defect puts Asobo and Microsoft in an actionable position? Anyone know any tort attorneys?
I wonder if this is related to Asobo or to the ones who created the models (wasn’t the 747 from PMDG and the 787 from another 3rd party dev?)
Come on Asobo DEV Team, please put resolving this issue back on the road map.
The mirroring seriously reduces the usability of these aircraft models if we can’t fly them in our favourite liveries. The mirroring should not have been implemented to start with.

This is a huge bug that prevents people from enjoying the game to a high degree…how the heck is it not even being considered to be fixed at the moment? Voted.

I also not understand.
I made this suggestion (this actual post) quite soon after the launch back in September on October 2nd 2020, and still this is being ignored by the developers while it’s not even a difficult fix for them

I wish there was an explanation for why the devs don’t want to fix this. On the feedback snapshots the status of the fix is listed as “Not Planned” ?!?!?

On the real 747, British Airways is painted between the upper and lower deck. This is where the mirroring occurs on all of the 747 liveries. So what some developers do is paint the name of the airline below the lower deck where there is no mirroring. If you don’t understand, google British Airways 747, look at the photos and it will become clear to you.
