Missing Contrails

Over the last couple of days, I’ve done three flights out of PAVD…

  1. FFX HondaJet, FL280, OAT -31°C, normal Community folder
  2. FFX Cirrus Vision Jet, also FL280, OAT -38°C, empty Community folder
  3. Default TBM, FL310, OAT -41°C, empty Community folder

In all cases, I’m pretty sure that contrails should have been visible, but were nowhere to be seen. Is there something I’m missing?

Sorry, couldn’t help but laugh at that!

I guess it depends how accurate MSFS’s atmospheric engine is. I frequently fly through small ‘pockets’ in which my trail briefly disappears - this of course happens in reality but I’m not sure if it’s accidental/coincidental in these cases…

Mine are just not there at all.
