Missing P44

I’m trying to figure out how to reinstall a plane I purchased from the MSFS catalog ( P44 Seminole). I was updating this file when it seemed to lock up on me, I backed out of MSFS and then went back in to see if I could update it again. Problem was the icon and description was still in the Content Manager but it showed 0 g installed. tried to delete and it would not delete.
My question is how do I reinstall this aircraft when it still says I own it???

Hello @N95637

We’ve moved your post into #bugs-and-issues:miscellaneous where Marketplace topics can be discussed and easily found by other users. Thanks!

Also, if you haven’t tried the following procedure/workaround below, it may help.

How to fix the plane showing up in Content Manager, but not in the Hangar:

First of all, follow this article to make sure you’re online and autohorized. If that doesn’t work, please follow these steps:

  1. go into the Official packages folder
MS Store

C:\Users[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\ Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official

Steam

C:\Users[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightDashboard_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official

custom install

If you happened to use a custom location for your Flight Simulator installation, then proceed there. Example: F:\Flight Simulator\Community\

Still can't find it?
  • While running MSFS 2020 do the following:
  • Go to Options / General
  • Click on Developers which you will find at the bottom of the list on the left
  • Switch Developers Mode on
  • On the Dev Menu select Tools / Virtual File System
  • The community folder location can be found under Watched Bases
  1. go to the OneStore or Steam folder under that
  2. delete the existing carenado-aircraft-pa44-seminole folder
  3. check for any .fsarchive or .fspatch files in OneStore/Steam that also refer to the pa44 and remove them
  4. restart MSFS
  5. go to Content Manager and re-download the aircraft

Step 1.
Open a Zendesk ticket to complain so they they are aware of the issue and do something.
(User workarounds no matter how successful result in Asobo never having to address real and existing faults in their code)

Step 2.
Locate the actual file/folder of the content. This will be in a folder named “official” or something.
Rename or delete the file for the missing content. It’s actually there, it just appears to not extract or register properly.

Once you have renamed/deleted the file start the game and you should have the option to download the content in the content manager.
