Missing the menu for 3ed party navigation software

Hi,

I liked to use Airnav on the ipad in FS. I need the menu option ‘Add-ons’ for that, but this menu disappeared all of a sudden. Why would they disable this if this is important?

Would be nice if we dont get backward “updates”.

Ty.

Here is a link which shows what i mean: Connecting to FSX - Air Navigation User Manuals

FSX != MS FS-2020

You need the Software for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

My point is that the menu disappeared in FS2020. It was there before and i need it to be able to connect to the app.

Personal Comments

I don’t recall seeing an “Add-Ons” menu option, either inside the Main Menu or deeper in the Options sub-menus itself. Typically Add-Ons are activated by being resident inside the Community Folder as an Open-Source Software folder or by an external connection from an executable outside of the sim, connecting back into MSFS through some interface like SimConnect, FSUIPC, etc.

If your software has a manual or step showing where it appears in the MSFS User Interface, it might be helpful to show a screenshot here.

Turned out i indeed have to use Xmapsy (V3) to make the connection between FS2020 and Air Navigation nowadays.

Already forgot about that with my old brains. Thanks for keeping me sharp guys!

Hello you make my day,
I was looking for a solution for Air Nagivation Pro on Ipad mini and MSFS.
This is working well and I have tested with the demo version of Xmapsy (v3).
Please read the user guide and the pop up at launch to properply open Upnp port. There is a difference between doc and pop up 4000, 49001, 49000 or 49002 (depending the pop up or the manual), and 49707.

In the settings also select:

  • use Xplan
  • use Simconnect
  • send alternate data-format

I will drop 17€ for this.
