Yes. Like I said, everything seems to be in its correct place. But MSFS will not load mods from the community folder, as if it were in kind of a safe mode.
Is there a read only permissive on Community Folder?
No. They are write-protected, but I guess that has to be correct. But now - to keep all members here entertained, I will tell you what happened. I opened XBox, launched the Sim from there, and bingo - the Community items came on. But, when I was ca 5 min. into the flight, cruising along happily, I got a CTD. Boom.
Wow, it is entertaining, to say the least!
I think I might use other words that I canât put in here.
That could be a mod conflict, more likely scenery related, but you never know with them.
Yâknow what? I tried the same today, launch from Xbox. This time the community stuff was not loaded. I think MSFS is playing a game with me. Feel free to use those wordsâŠThey seem to want me to buy 2024.
If you are interested in trying, see if this is just an extreme example of a mod conflict.
Take most of the items out of the Community folder, (or rename it - make a new one) and leave (put) only a couple addons in the new one.
See if they show up in the sim.
I have tried one of the suggestions above, to place the community folder somewhere else and change the user.cfg.opt accordingly. I put it in the root directory in D:. Still, MSFS canât load it. I will put it back in the original place and leave just a few items in it, to see, as you suggest, if it really is a huge mod conflict. I will be back.
If it doesnât, I found this support article for another poster, it may help:

Just to reply to you suggestion: I completely deleted the contents in Community, which was 80 folders of add-on mods (which had been working normally until something got screwed up), I just made a backup on a different drive and did not call it Community. I can always move part or all of the files back to the empty community folder. To see if doing this with a handful of mods I copied them back and checked if they would work in MSFS. Not even those few did! I am pretty unhappy now with MS. But I will see what your link can do for me.
I followed the intructions in your link, and the result was - after the official folder contents were automatically updated upon my next launch, I was back at the original problem.
Why does official MS not help me? I placed the error message in bug reporting, but the admin just shifted it into the official discussion department.
Hi @AmpleTiger97620,
Iâve seen corrupted Game Services on my PC cause this. Following the steps outlined in this article may assist in helping those affected:
Gaming Services Repair Tool for PC | Xbox Support
I was plagued by this problem (5 or 6 reinstalls) this spring/summer. The Gaming Services Repair Tool did not fix the problem, nor did the Windows Repair Tool, nor did logging out of the Store and Xbox.
