ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
Wasted 3 hours of my life because the game did not recognize that I landed at the objective airport. Filed for runway 15 at Aspen. ATC gave me no decent instrutions despite being on a 8 mile final at 14,000 ft to I just started to decend. When I was on a one mile final ATC decided it wanted me to fly the LOC/DME-E circle to land runway 33. Huh?!?!?!. Winds were favoring 15 and my flightplan was set for 15. ATC wanted me to start the transition at DBL which was 10 miles back in the direction I had just came from. I decided to just land because the objective said “Land at KASE”. After I had already landed it still said “Land at KASE”. Tried to park in the spot it was directing me too but that didn’t do it so I started back up took off again and landed 33 but the mission still didn’t complete. Parked at my spot again and exited to menu hoping it would save the progress but it didn’t.

I’ve had the same exact issue happen to me 4 or 5 times now on long haul flights and it’s infuriating. Most recently just finished a 737 max 8 flight from KLAX → KJKF and upon landing it didn’t update the mission steps.
The worst part is if you’ve got the option to skip to descent while on the ground —the game doesn’t account for you spending 5 hours in flight and suddenly bugging out and needing to be rescued from said mission step. It thinks you’ve just started the flight and hit the skip to descent button and proceeds to gives you 1% of the money and XP.
I have the same issue. As well as. All my new generated missions are registering the arrivals correctly. I cant finsh the missions because its not registering the final. I can see the airport. But the game thinks the airport is underneath the actual airport.
And its all the newly generated missions.
Ive uninstalled, reinstalled, delete everthing but my profile.
Um ad Xbox Series S guy. And this game bugged out a while ago. I just keep pusihng to get the achievment. Almost got the most time consuming ones done.
Idk if anyone can figure out why my game is frustrating me. I payed 200 dollars. And im feeling like these guys dont care. How do the not know that this is an issue.
There are common problems. Fix them or offer refunds. This is nuts. I got 49 flight hours logged. 15 hours of unlogged time. I dont get it. Just take my files from my console and fix it.
Or if somon3 else has a solution tha doesnt erase progress let me know… i literally quit playing the last msfs2020 because of how bad the controlls were after a while. Couldnt fly anything after almost 100 hours on that game..
The same. Happened to me 2 or 3 times now. After landing and with clearance to GA parking suddenly screen appears with information that mission failed. All progress lost.

• I’ve got the same issue with Career Private charter mission flying from EDVK to EDRZ on Beechcraft Baron G58.

• I was unable to communicate to the Tower prior to landing and after I’ve landed aircraft - my requests have been shown on screenshot, there were no answers.
• Still it show in Mission steps I have to fly to the EDRZ.
• Approach has been done via G1000 system choosing VTF - EDRZ-VOR/DME 21 item.
• Upon landing I can’t request taxi from tower, however taxiing hints have been shown. No blue rectangles where to hold short and park were shown though.

This is making me nuts.. i have wasted 5 hours on missions that dont complete. There is some issue when Flying IFR and doing a mission. The mission gets confused on whats going on when the ATC is providing instruction.
I was doing a cargo mission in IFR while in VR. All went well until landing. where it wanted me to taxi to the departure airport hold short. i was already at the destination.
This issue happens almost every single flight now. I’m not sure what else to do or try, but I can find no workaround. No matter what I try it still says “fly to (airport)”. Unfortunately wasted quite a few hours trying multiple times. It really started happening once I started doing longer flights with ifr from atc. Although I’m unsure if that’s related.
Unfortunately this bug makes career mode unplayable, quite literally as I can’t complete any missions anymore.
I found a temporary work around finally. If I cancel ifr before I get too close to my destination and finish the flight vfr, it works and the mission updates as I get closer and says “land on runway xx”.
Maybe a issue with how mission objectives interact with long range ifr flights and atc instructions, but I’m not still not sure.
I agree, that it’s making missions pretty much unplayable at this time. I just took a two week break hoping that this thread would say something had changed. I’ll give it a bit more time before I go back to the game. Want to love it but this is frustrating.

• ATC handed me over to LOWZ tower, no responce, no manual options to communicate - blank.
Additional note, had one of passengers stuck out of the plane entire flight.

I give up, I’ve already wasted too many hours of my precious and limited free time with this broken game. When it’s not one problem it’s another… I’ve spent more hours dealing with issues and bugs than actually playing (and I’m over 80 hours in!).
I’ll try again in a few months or a year to see if the game finally works as it’s supposed to.

• In my case it simply didn’t tell me to shut down or engage the parking brake. After jumping in & out a few times wondering wth to do, I shut down the engine & noticed the brake wasn’t engaged. Engaged the parking brake & the mission completed.
