I unlocked my first “Sightseeing mission” and have to take it to progress… But on the second loading screen, once the flight is supposed to start… nothing happens. Endless loading… the sim is not dead (loading wheel spinning), but the mission never starts…

Usually it loads quick. But sometimes it does take longer. Be patient, it will load.
Are you sure? What’s “longer”? Most of my missions load withing 1-2 minutes.
But this one is stuck for more then 30 minutes… tried it twice. Had to eventuall close the sim via taskmanager…
30 minutes is highly unusual, i’d recommend to empty your cache.

How can I empty the cache? Do you mean the rolling cache file? Or what exactly and where to find it? (I’m on Steam)

Hmm ok well that does not help. Deleted it, let it create a new one… but the problem is still there. Still can’t load that first Sightseeing Mission. It just loads endlessly.
First time it might take longer… especially if you have slower internet. If it really doesn’t work then the only things left to try for you now are to completely re-install the game and update all your drivers. Having an SSD would also benefit loading speeds drastically.
Thanks. I have a 1 Gbit Internetconnection, an SSD, good hardware, etc.
It has nothing to do with any of these things. It’s a bug in that mission, for sure.
I just hope there is a workaround to reset it.
All other missions load fine. It’s that one (first sightseeing, Venice) that just won’t load

Same here my friend. I am level 40 in the career, most certifications passed except the 40K and advanced Helicopter ones. Can’t get San Marco tour to load. It’s bugged.
On that note, I submitted a bug report in the appropriate area.
I saw the live stream (now) and the #20 bug and created an account to comment here.
I had to reset career trying to fix this.
I turned of Live Weather in settings - online which was causing the infinite loading.
