Missions are flawed - big time

I am wasting too much time flying missions that are impossible.
I am using a Platius PC24 and the missions use obscure airports that the FMC don’t recognize. The weather on some is so bad and I need an ILS approach, yet all these airports don’t have an ILS approach. After a 4 hour flight, I need to abort. I thought about an alternate but I can’ figure ow to input an alternate in the PC24. Also SPEED indicator is frozen on last 2 missions and only ground spend via EFB as the only was to tell my approx. speed . This constant fustration may send me back to my PMDG planes in 2020

I don’t like the Obscure airports that the FMS doesn’t recognize either, Why can’t I fly a cargo mission to LAX or Ohare?

but before accepting a mission I always check the runway lengths first, I prefer 4000’ plus but can do 3000’ for takeoff. If the flight model was better for the PC24 it might be better.

the speed indicator is probably your pitot icing over, make sure your bleeds are on both and turn the IPS knob to “ALL ON” and wait a min, it’ll come back.

Going to Alternate will fail mission, must land where the mission wants you to go.
Or abort.
Live weather seems always very extreme (wind). Not sure if waether data is wrong, or the effects in career are completely overdone. Had multiple times where crosswind blew me of runway or flipped the aircraft…

You can change destination under “FPLN” Tab, when the “plane on the ground” symbol is selected.

On the “landing plane symbol” on “STAR/Ldg” Tab, click on “Rwy/App/STAR” button.
Select runway, on Visula Approch select “STRAIGHT” instead “VECTORS”.
It should create an waypoint in front of runway at correct altitude.
With that you can basically fly it like an RNAV.

Similar/Same on Garmin.
I always use that insted of the insane patterns the game creates.

STB155, WCC Thanks:
Ok good advice. Great tip. I’ll check that for icing as the window is also showing icing. I also check for airports before starting mission with long runways, but none have ILS. Correct me I’m wrong, but flying in a heavy rain and fog without an ILS approach is virtually impossible. I can land a 777 in complete fog if I have the ILS tunes in, but these small airports have no ILS. So what do you do in complete fog? The PC24 or Navigraph won’t even find these airports in the database.

OK on a related question:
I have the Caravan and PC24. When I choose a mission, how do know what plane it is calling for. I pick a mission close to my caravan and it chooses the PC24 with 100K transfer credits. Then I choose a mission close to my PC 24 and it chooses a Caravan with 200k transfer credits. Can I filter missions on what plane I want to fly

It probably has to do with the distance, lenght of the runways and the payload.
