Which add on are you talking about? I’m now experiencing this bug and would like to test further if I have that add on installed.
Could these bugs be related? It’s not exactly the same symptom.
I’ve since moved over to DX12 to use FG with my new 4090 and experience this issue at most airports, payware mainly. I note the title says default airport but I’m seeing it at most of my sceneries which are payware?
me to, payware airports on corsica maltreated by this bug…return on dx11. and corsica entirely also with tile popping… maledictis
I was hoping this would be fixed in SU13, didn’t see anything in beta release notes. Keeping my fingers crossed this bug is fixed in the final release.
Try to set texture resolution to high instead of ultra that seams to fix it definitely a bug…
Frustrating at this point in time DX12 with FG is the way to go but… VRAM management and this bug…

They are busy with MSFS2024.
I’ve been noticing this much more frequently lately on any airport I spawn into (both default and third party). If I move the camera it a a bit a texture suddenly changes from bing map to actual texture (and vice versa)… I’m on PC with 4090 7800X3D 64GB of RAM and everything on ultra settings + DX12… are there any workarounds? I’m not on the SU beta.
Same Here. Still searching for the reason, I thought it might caused by the fenix V2 Update but it also occurs with the pmdg. I tried to delete shader cache but still no improvement.

It’s a bug in dx12 render pipeline. Period. It has been there since SU10. I read somewhere that this may be gone if we use high textures instead of ultra, but i haven’t tested it. Why you started facing it recently is a something I cannot comment on.
The only fix ive found is to when it appears switch to drone camera and zoom out by moving the drone outwards till all the tiles go back to normal. Then just zoom back in and everything should be back to normal.
I have been getting this recently to the point that last night I started making a video to demonstrate what was going on. I sat in the drone cam above East Midlands airport and moved back and forth across the surrounding scenery - darker boxes popping in and out.
I then turned Bing off - No dark boxes.
Was about to end the video when I thought I wonder if the LODs will make it any less (It was happening so close to the camera that didn’t think it would ) but gave it a go anyway.
So, turned Bing back on and moved TLOD to 400. Well ■■■■■■ me, no boxes
Turned TLOD down to 300 - No boxes
Turned TLOD down to 200 - No boxes
Turned TLOD down to 145 (which was the original setting I was using) - No Boxes!!
I would normally put something like this down to caching but I have caching turned off.
I then noticed this thread (I admit I have only skimmed through then end of it) with people having similar problems
Since I switched to the 4070 and dx12 I never had glitching problems like this before - when they appeared I manually deleted Nvidia cache and that was fixing it. My texture settings are set to high and not to ultra - no problems at all from day one. Today I tried to clean up my community folder (no change), do disable shader cashing in ncp (no change), to deactivate Bing data and bring it back on (fixes it for a while, but then it comes back) and fly up in the sky with drone camera until the textures back (also fixes it for a while).
So I don’t think the frequent bleedings a caused by my end of the line … Maybe there are some server issues?
I will load the sim up today to see if yesterday was a fluke.

However, I faffed around a bit more and it appears that my VPN has something to do with it. Turn that off and all seems good. I actually turned it off last night as well so that may be what fixed it then rather than the LOD settings.
I was on LOD 300 as well as TAA and noticed it… Haven’t tried the other LODs
Guys, there is no definite fix, end of the story. What helps to temporary fix it is never switching to the drone or outside view (no go for me), moving the drone around or using «airport debug» via devmode menue. Everything else is placebo…
Reminds me a bit of threads like the “Loss of FPS on long flights” or “ATC goes silent during flights.”
People are correctly frustrated and trying everything they can think of, but the reality is they are core sim issues that none of us can fix or reliably work around. Asobo needs to root cause and fix, unfortunately.
I was hoping they fixed this issue in SU13, since it has been reported more than 6 months ago already. But looking at the release notes I can’t find anything related to this.
DX12 is still unusable for me, making Frame Generation technology of my RTX 4070 also pointless.
And DLSS makes displays laggy, also unusable. It’s so frustrating.
Why is Asobo just ignoring all this?
More people need to vote on this issue! It’s been an annoying ■■■■■■ for too long. Let’s get this resolved!
