Mixture problem with 787-X

Hi there,

Bringing my brick to the wall

Look’s like the mixture axis is working with the 787, causing all sorts of problems. For example, the axis was set to “no fuel” from my last flight… so, my engines did not want to start when i was playing with the 787. I think that would be a good idea to take a look at why mixture is still a thing in a 787X…

Passez une bonne journée les gars et merci pour le travail que vous faites !

You are correct, 787 has mixture axis active. I was not able to start the engines until I set up the mixture axis to full on my yoke. Asobo needs to fix it.

Turning the Mixture contro to lean turns off some engines regardless of whether they are piston or gas turbine. EG RThe TBM and both Citation variants.

For some reason the 747 seems to be unaffected at least as far as I can tell, and the 787 seems to just momentarily turn off all 4 generators when I close my Mixture control, and the Airbus just had a blip on the APU starter which may be unrelated. Regardless, of the outcome, none of these things should happen when operating non existant mixture controls.

In previous flight simulator versions, the mixture axis would act as fuel cut off in jets. I see nothing wrong with this behaviour…

Not in any sim that I played…

If the plane had no mixture control, the axis was inactive. Just as it should be.

Several planes have issues with fuel/prop axis interfering with their engines. On the TBM it is the prop axis, that interferes with the throttle lever.

It’s a mess and needs fixing.
