I am modeling the Dornier Do.X, which had twelve (!) engines. The way I am approaching it is to claim I have four engines (the maximum MSFS handles) in engines.cfg, and have the engine parameters match that of an actual engine used in the aircraft. But, to get the correct performance and fuel consumption, set fuel_flow_scalar and thrust_scalar to 3. Will this work as expected? I.e. are these factors taken into account only after everything else has been calculated?
I mean, will this work so that MSFS calculates the thrust of the propeller in an engine (corresponding to one actual engine), gets a reasonably realistic result, and only then multiplies the resulting thrust by three? (To match that each simulated engine actually stands for three real ones.) And similarly for the fuel flow.
