When a “study level” aircraft like the CRJ 500 is released, where do the engine performance values come from? Is the manufacturer willing to share tables of fuel consumption and thrust for hundreds of inflight situations? Do the developers have access to something like GasTurb simulation software? How accurate is engine performance for take-off at altitude or on hot days?
