I think it’s wise in that case to go with a stop-gap until you can get the right device for you. It’s a shame it is so difficult to compare these products side by side in person, rather than having to rely on someone else’s written reports or streamed reviews.
If you want a proper collective the Virpil one looks good.

thinking my current plan for a stop gap is the best for now… and no one had anything negative to say about the make/model planned so that can’t be bad either, also gives me time to build some experience and realise what i am looking for… and see what maybe arrives on the market… basic ball park price i don’t think will change much.
between collective and cyclic I’m in for $750-850 by the looks.

The Virpil stuff is very nice. I have the collective and CM3 base, 200mm extension and an Alpha grip that makes up the stick. Very precise, well built and on top of that Virpil were nice to deal.
