Also constant lags and friezes, it is impossible to fly.
i7-8700, GPU1070, 16RAM, SSD disk
MS version

Can confirm I get brief random pauses occasionally which I haven’t had before. No obvious issues with my setup or performance…other than this. I saw that a YT streamer had the same issue during a flight.

I always have lags at 320. On small ones it is normal.

I’m having the same issue, it’s strange as this didn’t happen in the alpha/beta builds

I have same problem too. I wonder if this is related to the new version of Nvidia driver?

Yep I get these random protracted freezes. Then all working nicely again.

GTX 1080 8GB

I also get frequent random freezes, on windows task manager it shows that the sim is not responding. These freezes last for about 30 sec to 1 min, then it unfreeze and fly normally until it freezes again at random intervals.

I have to report the same issue:
Starting the sim, start flying and after apx. 10 mins of action the program freezes:

no action / reaction of any key or HOTAS, sound is playing as the game is going, screen freezes at the actual pic

task manager shows “FS is not responding” and after apx 30 sec the app closes
restart necessary - the problem occures everytime of use since mid of last week

I resetted and repaired the FS app on the windows app manager, no impact

Many seem to have this freezes. Wonder if it was reported as a bug.

I had the sam problem (i7/7700 32 GB Ram, GTX 1080). Graphics were optimized by GeForce Experience.
I noticed frequent stutters and fps drops down to freezing especially when flying over elaborate scenery and in dynamic weather with rain and low clouds.
This was probably caused by my CPU being maxed out to 100% continuously while my graphics card ran almost on idle. I then set the NVIDIA slider to maximum and this resulted in a CPU load of mainly 70-80% while the graphics card was flat out at 100%. A slight reduction of graphics quality then achieved a shared load of around 80% for both. I tested the setting with the DR400 on a night low level trip over Manhattan and experienced only one slight stutter. Before that my game just froze or became a slide show in such a scenery.
Maybe worth trying although this comes from a dumb user, so it could also be just a cowpat.

What about you rolling cache? Mine is at default, no freezes. Without rolling cache I had occasional freezes too.

RC was auto on. I shifted it from C: to my D: which is a 3 TB HD, but I didn´t note any difference.
I came to the conclusion that it depends on the weather complexity and ground texture density to determine whether you get stutters or not. Northern Norway is smooth, San Francisco (or similar areas) isn´t.
