Mooney M20R default view

Does anyone know how to change the default cockpit view for the Mooney? I know I can setup my own views, but I do not know how to assign that prefered view as default. I want to see more of the instruments but I don’t want to lower the seat. So I want a tilted/inclined forward view. I dived into the camera.cfg file and experimented a lot but without succes. I already changed, thanks to B0BVALDEZ, the view left and right values with succes. Any help would be welcome.

If you reference my original post, there is a chart attached that shows the various camera positioning variables and how they work. Changing a default camera view, to a different view, requires understanding exactly which view you want to change and then setting new parameters in that view location for the view coordinates/location. This is a time consuming process of trial and error to set one to your specific personal preference. I generally just manually pan my view to the one I want once I’ve switched to it in the sim.

You could always use the Zoom in the Camera Settings (options/general/camera) …move slider slightly left to zoom out enough to show the instruments. (Apply and Save).

I personally like my viewpoint slightly higher and slightly tilted down. My trick to save this as the default:

-Create a user view where you like it. This gets saved in the folder C:\Users[user]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado_M20R_Ovation\cameras.cfg

-note the coords of your saved and paste the coords over the coords in the “pilot” view entry in the aircraft’s main cameras.cfg. on my system at least this was found in: [packages install location]\Packages\Official\Steam\carenado-aircraft-m20r-ovation\SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado_M20R_Ovation\cameras.cfg.

Make sure you back up the cfg as i suspect when updates get installed the main cameras.cfg will be reverted back to it’s original location.

Thank you, I will try that one.
