Not sure what happened, but my M20R stopped working. I tried to delete it from the content manager in hopes that a re-donwload would fix the issue. Now, it says the size is 107 mb or so on the left side of the screen, but when clicking delete, it says 0mb.
It shows as up-to-date in the content manager, but it’s not available in-game.
Tried manually deleting the file from the simobjects folder thinking it might prompt a new download in the content manager, but nope - - still says up to date even though the simobject folder is now gone and I can not do anything in the content manager…
Probably my last purchase through the market place if it’s going to be this bugged.
Has this happened to anyone else?
It’s not enough to delete the simobject folder. You have to manually delete the whole Carenado M20R Ovation folder while MSFS is NOT running. If you delete something while MSFS is running the sim assumes its still there and tries loading it. Normally after restarting MSFS the plane should reappear as an available download.
That’s what I did… Now it shows as installed and up-to-date, but it’s not in the game.
That’s strange. Never had something like that.
I have that same situation for my Mooney and my Jabiru. Both show as Installed, but are nowhere.
There is a zendesk page related to marketplace issues . I have no idea if it is even remotely helpful but worth a look I suppose:

Find all installed aircraft here:
C:\Users\ YOURUSERNAME \AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore
There is also this directory, that (I’m assuming) stores things about the last time you flew the aircraft:
C:\Users\ YOURUSERNAME \AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SimObjects
Delete both of the folders for the Mooney - one from each location - and that should do the trick. The Content Manager then downloads the base package again, and all patches… you should be back in the skies!
NOTE: this works for the MS Store version. If purchased through Steam… ???
If you have MSFS installed on another disk, you will need to find that yourself. For example, my location for the Mooney is:
“D:\Flight Simulator\Official\OneStore\carenado-aircraft-m20r-ovation”
I finally managed to get it to download it again. I forgot about the actual installation location on a different drive…
- - hope they can make the actual removal and re-install work in the content manager at some point though. Thank you for the helpful replies all!
