The hand-crafted 3D “eye candy” included in the Sim is great. Not talking about airports or aircraft here, but all the other hand-crafted 3D stuff in the static world. It would be great to see alot more of that stuff “out of the box” so to speak, rather than a plethora of freeware and payware add-ons that are cropping up now just like in XP. I know the developers have other more urgent issues now (just one or two!!!) but wondering what the future might bring. I know it is linked to Bing maps. I know the developers cannot do everything at once. I know everybody wants to make money. But would hate to buy add-ons now only to see them replaced later by new stuff “out of the box”. Plus add-ons add to the messiness and create problems. Maybe one day the developers, Bing Maps etc might share their plans on this. Cheers.
