So many odd issues with the ongoing patches…

  • FPS will slowly go from 50-60FPS into 20’s then crash mid flight.
  • Still can’t add/remove a usb device without the game crashing.
  • My rolling cache and internet data never changes from 0 bytes used. All my settings are on to use internet data but for some reason nothing downloads. Any ideas? I used to download a number of gigabytes before while flying but it seems stuck now.

Any idea when the next patch is due? Every time I give this game another try I seem to get more perturbed.

Sorry… and pardon my ignorance, but under what circumstance would you add/remove a USB device while in flight ?

Maybe just me but when I use the sim I am all setup before startup and have no need to do/remove any USB device.

I guess I must be missing something.

I haven’t seen any significant data getting used on my end for at least a couple of weeks now - since about the time of the last patch. Tonight though, I had a ton of data flowing in. And my Live Traffic which hasn’t worked in many, many weeks is now working as well.

He hasn’t specified, but it’s not necessarily a device related to the game. I’ve plugged in a USB drive, my e-cigarette, phone etc while running the game. I haven’t had any issues, but others have reported plugging any USB device crashes the game.

I sometimes forget to plug in something important before starting the game, especially the IRTrack device, or maybe the pedals. So far, plugging in late as the game loads hasn’t crashed it for me and everything works. Haven’t tried it from the menu screen or in flight though.

@Crunchmeister71 Thanks… maybe there was something going on the server side, I’ll keep an eye on it maybe things will start flowing again. I did re-create the cache file just in case…

Yes the usb issue is just an annoyance. I have over 6 devices (yoke, fighter stick, different throttle controls, etc.) for flight sims depending on the game. Just annoys me when I forgot to plug my yoke back in or something… I hot plug usb devices in FSX and DCS all the time.
