That is all fair. Maybe soon I should take the F6F and just explore around like I usually do with ga aircraft, ok these days only the Comanche really. I’m sure it’s fun.
I have the Big Radials Goose and I do like it, another plane I should use more… but that’s not really what I’m looking for again. The Beaver is a similar standard, and my favorite plane of all time so that gets it some preference.
Really my absolute dream would be a radial powered plane with the mechanical depth/per cylinder simulation and a fun to hand fly model like the Comanche. I’m a big mechanical nerd so I love the nuance of managing the engine and I’m here to hand fly, not play with navigation so the fact you can actually trim out a Comanche to not need the autopilot makes everything else just less fun for me

I’ve actually considered a VFR tour of the US in the F6F. I think it would be quite cool, and it’s fast enough that it won’t be a snail pace adventure.

How is the Goose? I’m tempted to grab it next time it’s on sale.

The Denarq does sort of have that kind of depth. It’s got things like early cylinder detonation. I’d encourage you to at least download the mod and have a read of the manual to see what features it has.
The A350? Maybe. The Fenix A319 and A321 will fly very nicely on my 3060. And once the 50 series is out maybe those early adopters will be shifting 4090s second hand at a price I can afford.
Lots of love for the RJ and F70/100. Put me on that list as well! Both the 146 and F28 are really amazing, and I am looking forward to the newer variants.
I know, straying off topic here, but I would really love a DC-10 and a 727 at some point…
Ok to not completely derail my thread my vote’s definitely the Blackbird DHC-3, but I follow their facebook page and based on the comments there’s a lot more vocal excitement for many of their other projects. I asked about it on one of their posts and got a very noncommittal reply. Based on the comments there seems to generally be MUCH more excitement around the Huey, T6, C130 and SR71, but the T6 and Huey seem to be near release so maybe there’s hope once those wrap up.

Ya know, I realized it’d been a shamefully long time since I’d even flown it so I did and it’s fun. Sounds are good, visuals are decent, water dynamics are okay which can be really hit or miss for MSFS amphibs. Fun plane. Did not cross compare it with the one that’s now included so can’t tell you if it’s worth it over that.

Unfortunately I’m on Xbox. I spend enough time on MSFS and play seriously enough a PC would make sense, plus I would really love to get into DCS buttt I’m a huge skier and off roader and working towards getting an actual pilot’s license so a PC build that’s better than the XSX never quite seems to be a priority in the fun money budget. Wish I could try it.
