I love amphibians, and waited FORVER for the flotiak and was not disappointed. I must say though the Beaver trounces everything in xbox on water for handling and being able to get above 65KT in the water without it going bonkers. I still haven’t flown it once off of floats though. You really get used to a visible moving copilot too in the aircraft(like the Kodiak). I’m REALLY impressed the Beaver got it included, for free. And keep feeling compelled to see where I can plop it down, even if your runway is only 3’wider than the wingspan, on one side…
A good sport plane that will challenge you more than a little bit is the RV14. Like the Kodiak, you get multiple editions for the same buy-in price, trike/taildragger, visible copilot, everything works, good flight model.
For interiors, I have 4-8 saved ALT views that put me in various passenger seats in just about every single GA aircraft I fly regularly, including the 208. The Kodiak with additional passengers is interesting to just sit in one of the rear seats and peer out the windows in cruise… The TBM I have one of the views in the rear facing executive seats.
The BN2 Islander is another must-have if you remotely like the type.
